Limiting a full range driver
I am considering a miniDSP SHD Studio, all digital with no converting to analog, and then sending out to 2 DACs (OKTO DAC 8 to main speakers / Schiit Modius to my 2 15" passive subs). Amplifiers are Benchmark AHB2 for mains and a Crown Class D (7...
Limiting a full range driver
I think 250 Hz is a little too high to cross a main speaker at. Around 100 Hz is usually the upper You didn’t know?? The Rythmik FM8 is no ordinary sub. It is a special sub designed to wipe the tears/alleviate the struggles of his full range dr...
Limiting a full range driver
Get a pair of rythmik FM8 8inch dual driver subs and limit your full range speaker to 250 hz. Your full range driver will stop crying and thank you from the bottom of its heart.

Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
When my Moab Be get’s compared to a $26K Magico A5 and the $27K Kef Blade 2 it’s obvious that my business model and background is overlooked and misunderstood. Question... how is a Magico A5 or a Kef Blade 2 going to go fare with my budget priced...
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
Gotta love these Tekton threads. They all go the same way. Starts out civil and then the flies all catch a whiff and gather. Then disparaging remarks from members who have never heard the speaker but "know" it doesn’t sound any good and even if i...

Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
$30k speaker is not too expensive today at all compared to larger figures. If a goofy Alexia V can cost 80k, i suppose Tekton is justified for trying to charge 30k for that signature series or whatever speaker. It doesn't look like it was cheap...
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
On the same note, which speaker are y'all talking about that Tekton sells for 30,000? Is it this one? It doesn't have a price listed on their website.    This other eyesore is priced at 14k/pair.

Better system, way better exist but i dont give a damn because i had reach the minimal acoustical satisfaction threshold and i know it and i know how... Your minimal acoustical satisfaction threshold might be lower (nothing wrong wit that and g...
Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
If you pay the stereophile bards, you can get your song of praise and a Class A rating, i'd think. Maybe, the penny pinching guy from Utah refused to pay.
full range or mini's and a sub
Full size speakers WITH subs is the correct answer. There needs to be a sound power hand-off between the sub and speaker. Most subs are far more dynamic than stand mount speakers, so the speaker will still be the limiting factor. There are except...

deep_333: It’s nice to have and experiment with different systems and combinations! It trains your ears to be more discerning to small changes, doesn’t it? It allows me to tell good from bad in just a few notes. True, it helps to have multiple ...
How important is the efficiency of a speaker to you?
Keeping in mind that the speakers in question drop down to around 1ohm in the bass, resulting in a speaker that very few amps can drive to anything that can bring about their best.  Any speaker that drops to 1 ohm was designed by a lazy low IQ ...
