Which speakers to get for a Very Large Room.
You may have already been there, but I think everyone should try some big used Klipsch (ie. Cornwall, Lascala, K-Horns, etc.) at least once in their lives.

-some people like to listen louder-some of us have hearing loss...may need to turn it up tohear the highs better as you get older-some have large listening rooms-some use it as an excuse to need to buy a bigger amp-some music sounds best cranked (...

CD player vibration from CD's
"Ddd1, Did you use a different Denon CDP of the same model and get different results? Or did you change players completely?"The Denon was a DVD player. The players/transports that the same CDs didn't vibrate were different makes altogether. (ie. S...
CD player vibration from CD's
I experienced it with a different player, a Denon DVD player which I soon returned to the retailer. Only happened with some CDs but the same CDs played fine in a couple other CD players I owned.
McCormack TLC-1 Deluxe Remote
@Hodu: Yes, it is the TLC-1 Deluxe and it is remote capable but they are quite rare. The remote sensor is just to the right of the green power bulb. Only volume is controllable.@Mwilson: I talked to SMC and they were the ones that referred me to m...
Sub $1k Power Amp to pair with Bryston B-60
Don't buy anything until you hear your system in the new room. Try to find a room with no two dimensions the same. If you need more power after that, sell your speakers and get some that are more sensitive.
Aleph Clone, thumps on turn off, and on turn on...
Own the Aleph J clone and have owned the Aleph J Mini clone and both have turn off thump. Not to worry.

I had early 2CEs and few years later had Heresy II which I have since sold as well. Preferred the Heresy II due to better dynamics and worked better in my small (11 x 17) room, whereas the Vandys sounded too bass heavy....which overshadowed the fa...
Who is using passive preamps and why?
Using Mod Squad Line Drive with Bryston 3B-ST and some fairly sensitive Mirage OM-10...cables by Tara Labs. Best sound I have ever had. My previous preamp, a Sonic Frontiers SFL-1 sounded good too though but I like the fact I don't have to turn an...

What to do next . . .?
In order:Change the room for something bigger with unequal dimensions. If you can't change the room, get some smaller speakers that don't go down so deep. I had the 2CEs in a 11 x 17 room and they overloaded the room with bass. They are also fussy ...
