The best speaker you ever heard?
Aronsss, I heard the Vandersteen 5A several years ago and came to the conclusion the 5A was one of the best speakers I have heard. The only significant weakness compared to the Soundlab(A3) and large Infinity Reference Models(Sigma-Beta)was sounds...
Need Blues Rec--burn the house down guitar stuff
I agree with both Johnny Winter live recordings from the 1970's, Still Alive and Well and Captured Live. If you don't mind a little southern boogie Molly Hatchet-Beatin' the Odds is also a perfect fit.
Best Rock Drummers
1-Carl Palmer2-Neil Peart3-Danny Carey4-Mike Portnoy5-Keith Moon
Best Rock Album in 2010
Tony Harnell & The Mercury Train-Round Trip(acoustic rock)Accept-Blood of the Nations(hard rock)
Do you remember your first cd?
Joni Mitchell Court and Spark and ELP-Pictures at an Exhibition. Both cd's were purchased late 1983 and played on a $150 Magnavox player-Toshiba SA-750 receiver and Ohm Walsh 2 speakers with the cheapest Kimber Kable.
best vocal harmonies in rock
Jefferson Airplane/Starship. Vocals are smooth but still have a "rock" edge and bite to them.

Need help with Jazz
Ernestine Anderson is what your looking for. She mixes blues-r&b and even a little gospel in her vocals, but is also capable of the "Ella" style when called for. Has about a dozen recordings on Concord Records, audiophile sound without the aud...
Best live album you've ever heard?
Santana-Lotus
Top 5 Rock n Roll Vocalists
1-Mike Matijevic2-Ian Gillan3-Geoff Tate4-Steve Perry5-Tony HarnellI could have easily put a dozen other vocalists in the 5th spot, but decided on the least known.
Best rock song of all times
Won't Get Fooled Again- The Who
What companies, out of Business, did you LOVE???
Ryan Acoustics- Thought they would be the next Vandersteen.
Who's Your Favorite Bass Players; Why?
Pop/Rock- Billy Sheehan is technically the best. In a group John Entwistle was the best. He was a great antithesis for Keith Moon's erratic brilliance. Acoustic/Jazz- Scott Lafaro and Eddie Gomez, maybe it's my bias to the Bill Evans Trio.
Vintage Amps - Pleasantly surprised
Maybe not vintage to some but the Yamaha MX-1 gets my vote. Produced between 1992-97 it retailed for $1200 put out a conservative rating of 200w/ch/8ohms and is a true dual mono amp. NOTE that the power cord is captive, I would get that updated an...
