Change INTEGRATED or Add AMPS?
Kiss999-The preamp section of the Rotel is not in the same class as a Bryston 7B. My best advice is to keep your system balanced, since your system is only as good as it's weakest link. Since your speakers are at least 10 years old? I would look i...
Trip to NYC, What to do
Dfelkai-How did the trip to NYC turn out? I'm sure others are also curious.
Amp for Proac Studio 140 mk2?
Jdstrawn-ARC is widely accepted as a good match with Proac. I demoed the VSi-60 and thought the sound was thin and overly bright and there have been reliability issues with the VSi-60. IMO not in the same class as the BAT-300x. I didn't mention Pa...
Amp for Proac Studio 140 mk2?
With the efficiency of the 140 mk2 you have the option of considering a class A intergrated, the Sugden A21 is a possibility. If you want or need more power consider a used Rowland Concentra 2. Of the amps you mentioned I would only consider the B...

Pro-Ject 2Xperience Classic or Music Hall mmf 7.1
Rar1-From what i've read I have not come across this issue with Music Hall tables. Maybe the motor assembly is slightly different or the MH plinths absorb the motor noise better? The only MH table I was considering was the flagship MMF-11(2 motors...
Pro-Ject 2Xperience Classic or Music Hall mmf 7.1
Find out if the motor hum issue has been resolved with Pro-Ject(not an easy task). The old joke was how do you eliminate motor noise/hum on a Pro-Ject? You sell it! The hum/noise is caused by a metal "collar" brace over the motor that would vibrat...
Any Alice Cooper fans?
Dave 72-"Dead Babies" was a statement about child neglect/abuse.
Tax return burning a hole in my pocket
All records need to be cleaned! You will never know the true potential of your current system without the benefits of clean vinyl. Since you claim to be fiscally irresponsible use part of your tax refund and pay someone to clean your vinyl.
Solid state amp around 2000-2500 used or new
I would look for a Classe amp in mint condition. Many consider the older models(CA-100/150/200/300/400)better sounding and having better build quality. You should be able to find a mint version of 1 of these models under $2K.
Trip to NYC, What to do
I would stay away from audio stores and search for used vinyl for my audiophile fix. Plenty of live music to choose from. The Iridium Jazz Cub is adjacent to a hotel that me and my wife stayed in, great way to save on cab fare. Avoid the overprice...

Greatest Rock Guitar Riffs
The recent Alice Cooper thread reminded me that "School's Out" deserves a mention.

"American Pie"-Not bad for a 7 year old!
Any Alice Cooper fans?
"Love it to Death" is a pop/rock masterpiece! Easily places in my top 50 pop/rock albums of the 70's.
