Mcintosh mc601 vs Pass Labs XA 100.8 too bad the dynaudios aren't bi-ampable. you would put the Macs on the bass and the Pass Labs on the mids/highs.

Class A or AB amp for JBL S4700 speakers Well Bo, that's cool, but we're not talking about speaker cables at this time...
Class A or AB amp for JBL S4700 speakers No problem. It's the result of many hours of research and talking to people that know their stuff. Plus, auditioning the damn things more than once. Which I recommend that anyone does, including you. That's cool that your speakers are working for ...
some of the best speaker cables under $250 Bluejeans is ok for ofc. But, it does not compare to pcocc or silver cables. Which is what you need for a real high end system. Bluejeans is good for entry level and mid fi.
Class A or AB amp for JBL S4700 speakers Bo, Wel Signature is a speaker cable. Everest and K2 are speakers!
Class A or AB amp for JBL S4700 speakers I do now. Meaning, that they took a while to break in. Imo, they don't sound that good out of the box. They sound a bit dark, muddy, and closed-in.The differences are the type of drivers used, the horn geometry, and the shape of the cabinets. As f...

Infinity Primus P363 TAS review To be fair, I don't think I've ever seen a pair of high end JBL speakers on display in any audio store. I suspect that the main reason that most people don't talk much about them is lack of exposure. I could be mistaken, but if I recall correctly,...

What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock? No worries, saki70. :D
What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock? Not scarce, Saki70, just not as prevalent. See my post above. All of those companies make speakers with big woofers.
What are the best speakers for 80's hard rock? The bigger JBLs, Klipsch, ATCs, Tannoys etc. I believe the Legacies are good, but I only heard them briefly at CES a couple of years ago. If on a tight budget, the Cerwins aren't too bad.
Bryston 28bsst2 worthy upgrade from a krell fpb70? My only concern with the Bryston is if it's able to drive a load lower than 4 Ohms. Otherwise, it puts out great sound. However, in that price range, and even cheaper, there are other excellent amps that deserve an audition. |
