| Early digital recordings on vinyl vs. CD? I have a few of these and they are very nice recordings so I wouldn't necessarily avoid them. In general I think they are better than the CD but I tend to prefer vinyl to cd anyway. But as always it is recording dependent. Chuck | |

| Preamp or power amp has more impact to resolution? The detail or resolution needs to be picked up at the source before the pre-amp can amplify it and then the amplifier to amplify it yet again. So IMO it really starts at the source because you can't amplify what isn't there to begin with.Chuck | |
