Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
@whipsaw  Isoacoustics includes the threaded rods for a lot of speakers (not KEF, but they were quick to send me the correct ones). And you would be correct.  I have hardwood floors with wall to wall carpet on top, so if I uses the Gaia’s, I’d ne...
Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
@whipsaw  I totally removed the spikes and only use the Gaia’s. To me, not only were the speakers not raised as high, but the soundstage really came together noticeably more. Oh and I purchased some 1 1/2” granite pieces to sit under both speaker...
Has anyone heard from bdp24 lately?

Speaker Spikes - Working Principle
And don’t forget how cheap spikes are to make. I replaced mine with the Isoacoustics Gaia 1’s and there was a large and immediate change. The current price is $500 for a set, a heck of a lot more than a set of spikes!

@oddiofyl  Would you message me. I’m interested in getting a N200 and am curious about the deal TMR gave you. Thanks.

My speaker upgrade journey - and a few questions
@jcs01  As long as you’re lugging amps around, bring the H390 next and hook it up to the ATC’s W/O the built in amps. You know it will easily power them and it has an okay DAC in it.  I have had a H390 for two years now and for the money, I am ve...
What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report
I might have exaggerated a bit. I only have 23 Bryan Auger albums.😁 Have you seen his daughter?
What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report
@ghosthouse I’ve been a Bryan Auger fan boy for at least 50 years and one way or another, I have most of his albums. While I’m sad to say I never saw him live, the Live In LA album is fantastic! And I agree that Alex Ligertwood tries to hard, th...
