Did your system getting better the more money you spent or more experience you gained?
I bought and swapped equipment for more than fifty years and I might not have the newest equipment, but I’m finally at a level where I’m starting to touch “ High End” and I like it.😁
Speaker box?
So in the morning, Why don’t you just use the link that @stanleylocke so graciously provided for you? They should be the ones with all the information. All the best.
clipping
Clipping comes from over driving an amplifier.  What you’re describing sounds more like something is skipping. You mentioned a CD player,  do you have any other sources that you can try? All the best.
Need a big favor picking a preamp
@thecarpathian  Who designed that thing, Captain Nemo??!😆😆😆
can subwoofers make things worse?
Doubt a sub or two will make things worse, but you have to take the time to find out where they sound best.  I currently am only using one and it’s six feet behind the listening position and only does sounds below 45hz.  You will have to figure wh...
Help needed to eliminate unwanted noise from tweeter
@auronthas ,  I doubt very much that the Aries ll is making the noise, but are you using RCA cables from it to your amp? Does their path cross a power cord or anything metal? If so, try using XLR cables. Is anything plugged into a circuit that ha...
Jazz for aficionados
Yeah, today was also a Kenny Drew day, with Come Sunrise on the box now. As @jdougs  says, “You can never get enough Kenny Drew”.

Using PA Speakers In A Home "Audiophile" Application!
While I do have some Peavey speakers in my workshop, but I really think hifi speakers are designed to reproduce hifi sounds and PA speakers are designed to project sound, if that makes sense? All the best.
DAC upgrade
I have had the Denifrips Pontus ll for a couple of years and am still very happy with it.  The newest model, the 12 Anniversary is well within your price range. All the best.
Jazz for aficionados
I’m listening to Presenting The Kenny Drew Trio. Doing it on Amazon so it’s one long play.44-45 tracks and it still keeps me smiling even after listening to it many many times!   And if I haven’t said it yet,  Happy New Year All.
SnubWay Question Thread
Great video.  I’m not sure about the $295, but I’d definitely be interested in the two week trial.  The only device I have with a switch mode power supply is my CD transport , but I’m sure the power company isn’t doing me any favors.
Ripping CDs
You can buy a dedicated CD copier, but they are expensive.  If you buy a streamer that rips CD’s as well, that will be expensive.  Getting a used computer somewhere would probably be your best bet.
Is toeing speakers a bad idea?
Almost all speakers radiate out at an angle that should hit your listening position.  A little toe in can be good, but to much can shrink the sound stage.    All the best.
