Looking for info on headphones
Am I the only one that thinks buying used headphones is creepy? I understand you can replace the pads, but still...
Small CD player
The Resolution Audio Opus 21 has a small footprint, though it has two chassis that you would have to stack. I've seen it for $2k used. Plenty of reviews.
DLP lamps
I think this is a common problem with DLP's generally. Two co-workers of mine have Hitachi and Mitshubishi sets that have the same issues.
Anybody tweaking by using the RCA caps?
I use the Cardas ones. Can't tell a difference with or without. YMMV.
Toshib DLP lamp lawsuit
The only people that win in class action lawsuits is the lawyers.
external crossover recommendations
FYI, I recently saw the Velodyne SMS-1 at Onecall.com for $399.
Dodd preamp battery plays 40 minutes
Vinnie, a local retailer where I bought by last set of batteries suggested that these batteries will suffer reduced life if the batteries are not used and/or recharged while in the upright position, i.e. with terminals on top. I don't recall the e...
Wi-Fi Fidelity?
Sometimes its important to just look past the technical mumbo jumbo and trust your own ears. If it sounds good, it sounds good. My wireless squeezebox, for example, provides excellent sound. It seems that sometimes we let technical papers or opini...

Yes, WNCW (88.7) is great. I have it programmed into my Squeezebox and listen most every Saturday when I'm at home.
VPI Scout cart pairing
The Dynavector from VPI has a 1 mv output, so it is too low output for a MM stage. To clarify my earlier post, I recommended the 20Xh, which is the high output version and compatible with MM.
VPI Scout cart pairing
I would recommend the Dynavector 20XH as a good compromise of value and performance. I use the low output version with great results. VPI sells a hybrid version of this cartridge specifically designed for their tables, so this is a safe choice.

Blindjim, there are a couple of good internet bluegrass stations that are good resources for bluegrass music. Two that come to mind are the Bluegrass and Newgrass channels at RadioIO.
Slim Devices Duet
I have the Duet and the Squeezebox classic and like the classic better. I have found the Duet controller to be buggy and somewhat unreliable.
