Lumin D2 or Aurender N100H
Many people praise Aurender. I bought an N100H new from an authorized dealer and it was not a good experience. Hardware issues, software issues, and support from just one guy at Aurender ("Ari") whose "remedies" included things I'd told him I'd al...

grislybutter On several occasion, they wrote me that my comments were off topic and hence they deleted it. Along with it they sent me the list of rules. That sure seems reasonable to me.

grislybutter I had a lot of issues with moderating, deleting my civilized comments ... quoting non-existing rules or rules that absolutely did not apply, ignoring my questions ... I am very surprised to see this. I've always found the mode...
Luxman remote replacement
Have you asked a Luxman dealer?
Anyone notice different amounts of surface noise with different arms?
mijostyn It seem you do not understand ... You have obviously no experience with the power of digital signal processing and don't say you do because I know for a fact you do not ... I have the most accurate. lifelike bass you have ever heard. No...
Music server recommendations needed.
vinylshadow 24/96 sounds worse than 16/44 if the original music was recorded in 16/44, which is nearly always. Even semi-pro recording studios have been recording at better than 16/44 for years and years. 16/44 is really just a consumer format.

antinn ... inexpensive UT tanks like the Vevor can be very noisy; enough to drive you out of the room ... Even the pricey US cleaners can be noisy. I use the silencer box for the Klaudio cleaner and it’s very effective.
Infinity RS 1B - How does the 'old dream speaker' compare to today's speakers?
bdp24 ... Infinity's were not built to high end standards. Hmmmm, I bought my IRS Beta system around 1990 and it has been in use since then. I've refoamed the woofers a few times and repaired the servo/xover controller once. I have some spare ...

If I were in your shoes, I'd get the Mac receiver properly serviced. What issues have you had with it?

Infinity RS 1B - How does the 'old dream speaker' compare to today's speakers?
The speakers in your pic aren’t RS-1Bs. It’s the big IRS system. I owned the RS-1Bs for years, then traded them in for a set of IRS Betas, which I still enjoy and think is a much better speaker overall.

ronboco Top of the line dedicated room (think Mike Lavigne ) first ... Ugh - I'd never be happy with any system that required me to leave my house for an outbuilding. That would be just a nuisance to me.
Ultrasonic Record Cleaner 40 v 80 v 120 kHz
I've been very pleased with my Klaudio US cleaner. Simple, one-button operation makes cleaning easy. For the rare occasion that I have a really dirty LP (such as one bought used or one that I'm cleaning for a friend), I clean it first in an origin...
A question about the Bryston BDA-3's HDMI inputs
srinisr This TAS review of the BDA-3 seems to suggest that you can play sacd via the HDMI port The BDA-3 can definitely play SACDs from an HDMI input, although few SACD players offer that option. The Oppo that @mahler123 is using is one of...
Amp Stands - Wood or Stone
kidbuck I bet you $1000. US that you would fail a blind test listening ... You sound like quite the hustler. You're not fooling anybody. We don't do gambling here.
