No Improvement With Transparent Reference RCA Interconnects For Naim NDX 2 Streamer
That’s great to hear. Internet shopping is fine, but I’m glad you could experience the assistance a GOOD dealer can offer, as opposed to the guesswork of shopping blind. Unfortunately, not every dealer is good. The important thing is that you’re en...
Upside-Down IEC Adaptor?
Anything to do with high-end audio is a first-world problem.  Thank you for the suggestions.
to my friends of AudiogoN,
I don't know.  Everybody believes that the VA level of healthcare is substandard, yet so many are clamoring for more government-controlled healthcare. Best of luck to you.
Transports
Isn't that transport like 17 grand?  I think it's good to solicit opinions from anyone lucky enough to own this stuff, but I would be very hesitant to make a purchase like that without an audition.
Oppo CDP is outstanding
Try a Vibrapod #3 under each foot.  I found it made a big difference in my 205.
What other hobby...
Auto detailing.  Guys will spend thousands on 1 tub of wax. An infinite number of detailing products on the market and the enthusiasts are just as vocal about what is snake oil and what isn't.
Transport to replace my cd player
@georgehifi - not that anyone needs another remote, but the Sony VLZ620 is very easy to use and works great with the CXC.  Lets you jump right to a track instead of scrolling through as well. It works well with every component I've tried it with.
Amp to drive Verdant Nightshade 1
Personally, I would live with the speaker for a couple of months, break it in, get used to the sound and then shop for an amplifier if you feel the need.  But that's me.
Options for ridding records of static electricity
The process of rubbing a circular felt pad on a record certainly would create static, except for the fact that GG stops it when it is applied.  And no, I don't particularly like the idea of applying a coating to the record, but I am suggesting GG ...
Accuphase E-470
I wouldn’t assume that a solid state amp would automatically sound better at lower volume. Some speakers need a bit of juice to open up. Just the way it is. That said, most Accuphase integrateds have tone controls, which can be used to adjust the ...
NOS Tube Vendors: Vintage Tube Services and/or HiFi Town- Experiences with/reviews of etc?
I have never heard a bad word about VTS other than Andy doesn't respond to email sometimes.  Better to use the phone.  Bought some vintage 6922s for a CD player and they were great.
Options for ridding records of static electricity
OK - I have brought this up before and it always created a strong reaction. Gruv-Glide will totally eliminate the static problem. I will not speak to whether it improves the sound or anything else. It stops the static. I no longer use it because m...
What are the differences ?
The problem in answering this question is that the cartridge probably sounded ratty when you last listened to it, which is why you sent it in for a rebuild, so it may be hard to remember exactly how it sounded compared to the new one.  That said, ...
If a speaker stand is mass-loading, how much does it matter what they're made of?
What kind of speakers do you have?  Certain speakers work well with certain stands.  Some speakers, such as Harbeth, often work well with very light open-frame stands, so you might take that into consideration.
Does anyone manufacture an alternative Linn Sondek belt pulley ?
There were a lot of people who did it back when I had mine in 2005.  The Russ Andrews setup manual recommended it, but like all things LP12, there were a lot of differing opinions.   https://www.russandrews.com/images/pdf/LP12booklet2a.pdf
