Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously? You can’t do anything to mount EPA-100 mk 2 on Luxman, people have no idea what they are talking about! It’s impossible, no matter how many metal or wood boards you can do, the mounting hole of EPA-100 mk2 is huge! This tonearm is not compatible w...
Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously? Just recently acquired a PD-444, the ability of mounting 2 tonearms and looked in good condition it made it hard to pass by, still waiting for it to be delivered. I’ve got an EPA-100 mk2 Luis, unfortunately you can’t mount EPA-100 mkII on Luxman ...
Have a Victor UA-7045 tonearm coming If you’re happy it’s fine, but NOS condition is something different (must be a box, manual, all parts together and perfect working condition). After your first message in this thread I realized than the price is low because there is a defect descr...
Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously? Never tried TT-801, I don't like vacuum pumps on any turntables, I like usability and simplicity (record clamp or record weight, no vacuum pumps). I don't think TT-801 is any better than TT-101.
How do you know when an LP is a first or early pressing? Discogs usually has all the info you need. The real fun starts when your buying records that Discogs doesn’t know about (yet)! Then you can upload all the info yourself. If there is not info yet then it will be there in the future, even if the rec...
Another review of a tweaked Denon DL-103R ??? Oh no! Boring? Surely not! Please read it! @ultima103 Rebuild is correct word, right? There are so many companies that rebuild 103 for big $$$, but not Denon in Japan for some reason. It’s a good business model to buy something very cheap and sell it for much higher price with new cantilev...
How do you know when an LP is a first or early pressing? Just use discogs.com for every record if you want to know how many pressings made, first in the list is 1st press
Have a Victor UA-7045 tonearm coming I only said "MOST OF THEM" speaking about modern tonearm design. But those modern arms, that I like, are about 5-10 times higher in price. So it’s hard to argue that Japanese vintage tonearms are cheaper, and, at the same time, beautiful! Technical...
Have a Victor UA-7045 tonearm coming Just to tease, this is NOS Victor UA-7082 with NOS MC-L10 cartridge. And again, this NOS sample does not have any problem with rubber grommet (just like my ex NOS 7045). The armlift is also nice and smooth. This long tonearm is so beautiful and ea...
Internal Wire Upgrade for SME V Everything makes difference, if you like KONDO why won’t you just buy his entire system (his speakers and amps) ? Would be even more difference. There is only one problem and it's the price. Hiroyasu Kondo founded Audio Note
Vintage DD turntables. Are we living dangerously? ** From my notes about pitch control on vintage DD turntables *Some people don’t understand why there is a pitch control on High-End turntables, for most of them pitch associated with DJ turntables only. In reality pitch control is an amazing feat...
Does the 33 hertz frequency turn vinyl into super vinyl "YES" What's the point? People are buying VINYL anyway. If you prefer to use EQ you can have those huge/wide graphic equalizer and readjust everything. But who cares if the original vinyl sound better without any EQ in the system? Why don't you just buy...
Another review of a tweaked Denon DL-103R ??? Oh no! Boring? Surely not! Please read it! he send the wholly cartridge to change the original aluminum cantilever/conical stylus for a Saphire cantilever/MicroRidge stylus. Are you gonna say that you never hear any better stock LOMC cartridges with MicroRidge diamond and Sapphire or R...
Best vintage DD turntables from the 70's and 80's? TT-101 going right to JP Jones from here in a huge bullet proof package. My sample is working, excellent condition, here i’m checking the pitch for the last time. After complete restoration it will be Brent’s first flying saucer (I have another on...
Affects of Badly Centered Hole It's pretty common issue, return the record and ask for refund, get a perfect copy. I have some 45s and LPs with this problem, sometimes it's only on one side of the vinyl. Anyway, I hate off centered pressings as it cause terrible issue with pitc... |
