Jazz at the Pawnshop - LP Original was not Direct to Disc. I believe the liner notes describe a modified Revox A77 used.
NAD since the 3020/7020 Been told by dealers that the 30th anniversary edition integrated 320BEE (50wpc) or whatever it is, is a very good piece and harkens back to the days of yore for musicality. Other than that, it's a crap shoot as the line has changed hands several ...
Small integrated Peachtree Decco is 13 3/4" wide according to literature. This is a GREAT integrated made much better by investing $30 into an upgrade 6922 tube. Plenty of inputs and wife should love asthetics.
Amp: Integrated - Used; - Sub $750 Help :- Luxman 491 hybrid with upgraded preamp tube will make the B&Ws sing. An English made Onix 60 or 120 is also very nice. You didn't mention musical tastes and the English audio tends to not do so well with badly recorded rock material. Good luck.
Low Cost Surround Speakers Decent Monitors Acoustic Energy One was listed here from dealer for $149. That is a beautiful cheap monitor. Does vocals/piano very well.
Vintage integrated Amps. What to look for? You left out Luxman and Tandberg?!?

Audio Note AN-K or pony up for AN-J Take the difference in price and divide by how many years you will reasonably keep the speakers. If that annual amount seems worth the jump then you have arrived at defendable rationalization for the upgrade. If not, bail.
Which Oppo to get? I set up a 981 with an Assemblage 2.0 modified DAC for a friend and it was very respectable. As a stand alone it is only tolerable for 2 channel. Bright, a bit thin with wandering bass. But for 2 bills, just what do you expect?
Best portable/outdoor speakers for a MP3 player B&W used to make a Rock Solid for outdoor use which was very decent and now very cheap used.
good boom box Teac makes a desk top slot CD player FM radio stereo speakers with sub. Haven't looked lately, but it's pretty cheap and sound as good as anything for around $100. I think it even comes with a remote. And cool blue lights. Not too hard to search.
NAD C315 BEE vs. Trends TA-10? Tgrisham is correct on all points made. I own the Trends and for fun took it to Magnolia Hifi where we ran a $10,000 pair of Martin Logans. It was crazy, even fooled one of the salesmen into thinking we were running the Macintosh powered up. It is...
Best Budget interconnect cables for cd to preamp Signal Cable is tough to beat for the price. Have gone through many cables over 40 years and these are very very good.
Digital remastering of CD's It's a Wal-Mart nation only demanding Wal-Mart quality in most things. |
