Audio Physic Virgo Owners...... Good with Musical Fidelity A3 integrated but bad with M3. Was it the brick wall room with the M3
Confused addict: need help with upgrade Maybe the Rotel was bright and not the Classe rolled off. That was my impression of Rotel integrated on B&W 601's. Stereophile could seem to make up their mind about giving the Classe an "A" because of it's forward sound. Finally gave it a "B"...
Sam loves the McIntosh MCD205. Do You? You may want to try the McIntosh DVD player which is about $2,700. I did not do A/B with their CDP but it sounded pretty good. Dealer called it a sleeper.
Perfect sound forever ? Not even when new... Jc, probably made in Switerland.cheese
Has anyone auditioned/owned Shanling T200 SACD If this was the Music Hall demo CDP at HiFi 2002 then I thought it was okay. Music Hall was playing vinyl so hard to judge but I will cautiously say Meridian and Cary are in another league when it comes to resolution.
Do isolation devices really help? Nothing in archives under "Sistrum Mini Monitor Platform" or even "Sistrum".Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.
OT: History / slang terms and what they all mean Until someone invented the zipper. You can draw your sword much faster with a zipper than buttons ;-)
Opinions on why this system is uninvolving While it's okay to keep tweaking the system, if you don't loose too much on the speakers (since they were demos) my guess is you will never be happy with Revels. Unless maybe a tube preamp - I don't know what your preamp is now.Accurate sound does...
Can anyone tell me about CD demagnatizers? Kenl, the gel may wear off over time but not from just one removal. My guess is that Auric should be more durable than Armor All, Rainex, Novus, etc. which are more of a liquid than a coating.Sean and others have measured higher error rates readin...
Which cone's or platforms have helped? Hi, Sean, I was trying to say that you posted the thread. Neglected to say that it was Ken who did the actual recommendation. It was great to have Ken take the time to post and good to give credit where credit is due.Maybe Tekunda is right about t...

Coincident's "Victory" spk:beautiful, but... sound?? If I was a reviewer for Stereophile, I'd give them an "A". Although there are probably some frequency anomalies that test instruments would show. Not sure if it's the SET amp that gives this speaker a lot of it's magic. Sound is sort of lean but I ...
Power Conditioners: Myth, Magic, or Necessary How to decide if your system needs conditioning is the big question. Some thoughts:1) If you see an improvement late at night.2) Turn your volume up with nothing being played. How far do you turn the volume before hearing "white noise"? In my case...
Cable vs. Electronics: biggest bang for the buck Asa, good stereo = aural sex.I've always wondered about gumby and gumbydammit. Was there some big interent name blowout?
Sibilance how do I get rid of it? Hi Stehno, if your power conditioning has helped your system, that is great. It simply does not in mine. Based on sound quality, a dedicated power circuit has no effect on my enjoyment of my system.I do not know why you think the light bulb issue ... |
