No discussion about the Synergistic Pink fuse?
@tonywinga Cool, and sadly expensive, that you were able to dissect a couple of tubes.   It would be nice if the filament were some highly conductive audiophile wire, but generally it has to be something with a low melting point, like lead and ti...
???Can Anyone Comment on Current Production Odeon Audio Speakers???

Stereophile review of the $30,000 tekton speakers
@deep_333 Refreshing to see someone look at it factually rather than emotionally.
Meeting up with members even where there is no sale
A lot of people have missed the point here. You can’t exchange phone numbers, email, or any contact info, even in a private message. a bot will block it.
better power supply for Qutest
A friend, with an excellent sounding system, uses a Shanti power supply. Jerry
Please help with Roon server/core issue
I also use AES from my MU1 to my Lampi.  i agree, the MU1 is designed to take advantage of the AES/EBU.  But you don't have to buy an MU1 to get stable roon.  Before it I had a Innuos Zenith MK3 and a Chord DAVE with M-scaler.  I ran my Roon Core...
15k for streamer and dac....how much on each?
I'd split 2/3 in favor of the DAC.  the DAC is the heart of your digital system.  Jerry
Resolving Hum with Battery Back-up (EcoFlow) vs Power Conditioners: success vs failure
@uberk what is your dayjob? You sound like you are in the battery backup business trying to sell everyone on it. Or are you overly enamoured with the green movement? You’re about to spend $20K or more to solve a probem you could fix for $5k with...
To ROON or not to ROON?
One word:  ROCK I used a NUC with ROCK installed until I get to a Grimm MU1 that has it's own version of ROCK installed on it's roon server. What are you using? Jerry
Halcro update
@lynn_olson Indeed.  I also find it interesting to see that the new one is claimed to "further reducing non-linear effects and distortion" when the old one had "distortion measured in parts per billion".   So there is a lot of marketing there.  A...
The receiver was my intro to HiFi! What say you?
When I got out of college and bought my first "nice" stereo, all I could afford was a pioneer SX780 and some junky speakers.  Eventually I bought a pair of Mirage M3si but my budget started to be stretched for other things, rock climbing gear, tri...
Anthem MRX 740 8K as an upgrade to my Denon AVR-X3700H
@loomisjohnson I just ordered a Marantz Cinema 50.  For the price, I'm not realy risking much.  I'll report back here when it arrives and I watch a couple of movies. Jerry
Anthem MRX 740 8K as an upgrade to my Denon AVR-X3700H
@SOIX the zen is an integrated.  But I am using it as an amp with 2 inputs.  I have the volume knob maxxed.  for 2 channel I use my Lampizator GG3 dac as the pre.  For movies, the Denon preout for the 2 front channels drives the Zen. This weekend...
Anthem MRX 740 8K as an upgrade to my Denon AVR-X3700H
I appreciate the spirited discussion and am reading and studying it all.   I do treat my 7.2 channel system differently than my 2 channel system.  My front speakers will always be driven by my 2 channel amp (with pre-signal from my AV system) but...
Anthem MRX 740 8K as an upgrade to my Denon AVR-X3700H
@Mahler123 Thanks for folloing up and asking.  I haven't actually made the purchase yet.  I'm leaning very heavily toward a Marantz Cinema 50.  I've been distracted by non-audio activities lately.  I also have a new center speaker on order and I'd...
