Can anyone recommend a new or NOS 300B or 805 vacuum tube?
Most of the 805 amps with 300b drivers that I've seen are mass produced Chinese amps and these tubes rival the price of the amp. OP, what price range are you shopping in? Jerry
Can you use both RCA and XLR interconnects into the amplifier?
Do you have a switch to select which input you are listening to? If so, then yes. I used the exact same setup you are discussing with the tech on several amps. On one amp I had to install a selector switch myself since it had both RCA and XLR inpu...

@audition__audio Indeed, the box is part of the system and the designer has to take that into account.  Simple boxes can be a problem for amateurs making DIY speakers. Jerry
Should Speaker Manufactures provide a Frequency Response Graph?
Posting a graph wouldn't be bad idea.  I'm sure some would resist, especially those with poor graphs.  I think if we had them all, Tekton would fall toward the top.  Eric has always been proud of his flat frequency resonse.   They already post nu...
Autoformer volume control in an active tube preamp?
I don't know of any offered but there are several tube amp specialists who would be glad to put one in for you if you order a pre or an integrated (I haven't asked them but they generally are eager to do custom work).  Two that do quality work and...

@tubeguy76  Nice sealion move.
No discussion about the Synergistic Pink fuse?
@captaindidactic  Your report that bypsass (putting a jumper or slug in) resulted in much better sound is totally consistent with my experience.   I don't think audiophile fuses can ever approach the performance of a jumper.  Fuses have to blow a...

@tonywinga Cool, and sadly expensive, that you were able to dissect a couple of tubes.   It would be nice if the filament were some highly conductive audiophile wire, but generally it has to be something with a low melting point, like lead and ti...

@deep_333 Refreshing to see someone look at it factually rather than emotionally.
Meeting up with members even where there is no sale
A lot of people have missed the point here. You can’t exchange phone numbers, email, or any contact info, even in a private message. a bot will block it.
better power supply for Qutest
A friend, with an excellent sounding system, uses a Shanti power supply. Jerry
Please help with Roon server/core issue
I also use AES from my MU1 to my Lampi.  i agree, the MU1 is designed to take advantage of the AES/EBU.  But you don't have to buy an MU1 to get stable roon.  Before it I had a Innuos Zenith MK3 and a Chord DAVE with M-scaler.  I ran my Roon Core...
15k for streamer and dac....how much on each?
I'd split 2/3 in favor of the DAC.  the DAC is the heart of your digital system.  Jerry
