Amps or Speakers which one to upgrade next
Thought I would add my 2 cents since I have the CM 2 and used to have Vandy 2CEs.I have 2 systems. The first is based on pricey Passlabs amps, Cary top of the line preamp and Goldenear Triton Ones. The second is a more modest system built around a...
What's the weak link in my system?
Agree with Handyman.  The front end is probably your weakest link - both analog and digital.  I owned the Bellari and found it lifeless. Did not keep it. Get a good solid state phono preamp, like a Dynavector DV-75, used. I prefer tubes, but good ...
PassLabs 350.8 versus Ayre MXR Twenty
Cary Audio SLP-05, Passlabs XA60.5 driving Goldenear Triton Ones.Detail, spaciousness, and clean tight Bass to die for with the Triton's built-in 1600 watt sub amps and six bass drivers.
Why don't amplifier Companies use high end fuses?

Pass Labs
Good things come to those who wait.  I've been trading up since the mid 80s. Started with kits and low priced gear. Now have a system I could never afford all at once -- including Passlabs XA mono amps and top of the line Cary tube preamp. Total c...

I recommend the Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, or the Prima Luna Dialogue Premium, if budget permits. The ELACs should shine with a gutsy tube inegrated. The Magnum II has an improved phono stage over the original, by the way. No phono in Prima Lun...
Wife trouble
Guess I'm just lucky. Wife has her own 50-pound tube amp in bedroom, with floor standing Audio Physics speakers.hence no problems with the living room system, which is normally quite un-WAFy.
