| VPI Classic motor question If you run the motor without the brass collar you will get noise as the motor is not positioned correctly within the assembly. Just try the brass collar with varying shaft heights...it cost nothing. If all else fails, give VPI a call. | |

| VPI Classic motor question When you lubed the motor shaft did you remove both the pulley and brass collar? The brass collar holds the motor shaft in position. The motor shaft has about 2mm of up and down play and you need to adjust this play until your motor runs silent. | |
| Can you use a KR 845 tube in Cary 805AE? I would ask Cary again and specifically ask them to comment on the filament voltage of the kr 845 tube. Personally, I wouldn't touch a KR845 tube. | |
