Best way to clean CD's?
I use the Micro Smooth on all my CDs, new or used regardless of the age. I have also found that the harder you scrubb (and longer) the better the results. Be careful though to rinse the CDs VERY thoroughly. I basically use all the other Mapleshade...
Has anyone tried 2 amps in stereo mode?
I agree with everything that has been said up to this point and would add one thing. My bi-amp rig really did not come to life until I got serious about the power side of my system. I have tried several configurations with the best results using R...

Opinions on Dunlavy SC IVA , V , VI...
I appreciate Fbhifi's comments on the the SC-V(s). I have a set of the earlier versions and had to replace the dome midrange drivers in one of the speakers. Amazingly, though, it was really simple to do and Madisound stocks the drivers. Overall, I...
Opinions on Dunlavy SC IVA , V , VI...
I have three different systems all with Dunlavy speakers. I can say without question they are the most satisfying products I have ever heard. The only really challenging aspects to owning them have to do with physical size and space. Rewards are m...
best speaker?
If you have the space you might want to add Dunlavy speakers to your list. The company is out-of-business, which makes these remarkable speakers that much more of a bargain on the high-end market.
cones under your tube amps??
Yes, it's worth experimenting with cones. The results canvery by product but the potential for improvement is significant Particularly good cones can be found at theMapleshade web site.
Tube upgrade/rolling question
Try the Mapleshade brass dampers and then the differenceswill be trivial.
Music everywhere, too much?
To me it's a question of quality and good sense. A lot ofthe music around is really just noise. No lasting valuewhatever.
Recommend speaker cable for Bi-Amping
I've seen some Audio Magic bi-amp cables in that rangewhich is an unbelievable bargain.
Please recommend SACD player under $6K - "warm"
Why not get the Audio Research CD-3 II and forget the 'stinkin' SACDs?
Best Power Conditioner
I have used the Stealth with great success and highlyrecommend it. I was amazed a few days ago when I tried theStealth in combination with the Richard Gray 400. I alsohad Bybee modules installed in the power amps by Great Northern and that also ra...
Mapleshade Silclear
I can certainly believe what you are saying without yet trying it. The reason is that I have used most of the other Mapleshade tweeks with significant success. An unrelated"WOW" that I just came across is putting a Richard Gray400 between the Audi...
AudioPrism Quiet Lines
Yes, I use them and have 8 in a 2500 sq ft house. The effectis somewhat subtle yet very positive. Ambient retieval anddistribution in the sound space is improved. On really excellent recordings the sound wraps around the listeningsweet spot to the...
