Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
rodm_2001 - While I do not apply room correction to my 2000s when listening to music in stereo, I do use a Pioneer AVR for film and TV viewing. This AVR has Pioneer’s MCACC room EQ program. It works quite well, and the results are pleasing with my...
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
Congrats, Rodm2001 !  Please remember to allow plenty of break-in time before reaching any conclusions.  Also, leveling the speakers with the floor and each other does, IME, make a difference, even if John Strohbeen might disagree with me :-)
Bluesound Node 2 and great customer service
Thanks, 2psyop!  My hi-fi budget for 2017 is blown, but 2018 might bring a Node2 for me!  I will post my impressions if & when I get one.
Best Debut Albums
Pretenders (eponymous, 1980)  - that LP changed my life and musical taste permanently.

Shelter 201 Cartridge: I just put it into my system Aug. 6 2016
johnnyb53 - How fussy is the 201 regarding install and setup?  I am kind of a clutz and have limited patience.  Plus, my tonearm is the difficult Thorens with the covered cartridge bay.
Onzow Zero Dust - cleaning the cleaner
IME, the Magic Eraser is good for somewhat larger-profile styli, like my Ortofon OM-30 Super.  But it is not as effective on smaller profile styli, like my Denon DL-160.  I had a clump of dust or something hanging from my DL-160 that neither a Dis...
Critique my media server setup!
The Oppo Sonica ($800) might work.  Just verify the UMS compatibility.  Also, note that the Sonica does not currently support gapless playback from all sources.Another idea would be the Bluesound Node2 ($500), provided it can work with UMS servers.
Melco N1A Music Server
I have a Vortexbox appliance, a pretty cheap and cheerful server with an internal HD, 1 TB.  Well, it died.  The manufacturer (Small Green Computer) basically sold me a new one with a big discount (my original unit was out of warranty).  Fortunate...
Which Budget Friendly Floorstanders Next?
Ohm Walsh 2000.  Golden Ear (any model in your budget).  Both are what I would call "different".
Ohm Acoustics introduces its 20/20k beta speakers
At the Ohm prices, I doubt it.  The drivers in the x000 line are fairly standard woofer/midrange drivers.  I was once told that mine (Walsh 2000) were aluminum, but they sure don't sound like aluminum drivers.  John Strohbeen of Ohm does not use c...
Subwoofer recommendation
Vandersteen 2Wq - if you can accommodate its unique connection requirements.  I own two and absolutely love them.
Any experience with Ohm Walsh Super Sound Cylinders?
I have had the 2000s since the fall of 2009 - one of the earlier production pairs.  I have a full review posted in the review section, and have been active in the big Ohm thread - https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/ohm-walsh-micro-talls-who-s-...
Review of Legacy Audio Signature SE and dealer Audio Doctor
The Legacy Aeris is a real dream speaker for me (winning the Lottery would do the trick).  Really sounded great at an audio show.
