Seeking feedback on Swan, Paradigm and Triangle You asked about Swans and I refered to the M1s. Why did you ask about them if you dont know what they are? You are probably better off with Paradigm.
"naked" listeners My theory is dust will not settle on vibrating diaphragms, so put the grills back on when you are not listening. I am genius, no?
Seeking feedback on Swan, Paradigm and Triangle Never saw your thread, dont think it posted. Found it under unanswered questions. I have the Swan M1, like them alot. Not much feedback on them. Go to more chat and search "swans".
Musical Design Pre Amp I have used a SP2-B with several amps including Belles and Marsh and it was always very quiet. If both amp and preamp are working correctly you should not here any noise. Maybe a bad tube?
anyone familair with North 4.0 or Swans speakers? I have not heard the Divas, but I have a pair of Swan M1 speakers and the are very good. I got a great deal on a used pair and wanted to use them as a backup while I tried out more expensive speakers. I have listened to lots of speakers and bought...
GRASS ANYONE? Strenght in Numbers "Telluride Sessions" is playing as I browse today. Not true bluegrass, instrumental cuts from the cream of the bluegrass crop. Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Mark O'connor Edger Meyer and of course Bela Fleck. These guys are incedibl...
TOTALLY CONFUSED about analog Sometimes Im surprised at the end of the record because I forgot I was listening to LP not CD. Not all LPs are that quiet, but if they sound like bacon they go to the trash. The fact is most CD reissues I have dont sound as good as the original vi...
What to do... US Postal Money order not received. Someone sent me a check via Priority and it took 3-4 times as long as regular service. I was frustrated, as was the buyer. I will never use it again.
Are Linn Tukans a bit on the bright side? They sounded bright and a little dry when I heard them. I only listened to them once in an all Linn system.
Do you drink when you listen? They say dont go to the grocery store when you are high. I say dont go to the record store! At least untill you find some gum or Halls cough drops! Hey Philefreak, when did this become a political discussion?(I agree with every word)... uh what wa...
What are we listening to...for...with? People just love music. Listen to a Beatles tune over an old transister radio. Even if the signal goes in and out your brain fills in the gaps. My daughter says she cant hear any difference between my stereo and her little Walmart thing. My wife s...
Bryston vs Marsh The Marsh 200s sounds fast and clear and free of grain or glare. In my setup it does not sound "electronic" if you know what I mean. It does not double power when impedance is halved, but it never strained driving my Totem 1 speakers. The 200s cos...
Belles Research Corporation? ? Belles Research was the first, then OCM (Magnum Research I think) and now Power Modules. A friend has my old preamp from the original Belles and it still works great. All of his incarnations have good build quality and solid engineering. I had the...
How do you determine how much to spend on speakers I would much rather listen to $4000 well spent on electronics through $1000 speakers than high doller speakers with weak source and amplification. You will only be frustrated knowing how good it could sound. The thing is it can be surprising how g...
I can't believe there is no difference Good advise, good plan. Also, in my experience, sometimes you have to live with a component for a while before you can appreciate the subtle differences that make listening more enjoyable. Listen to just the Cambridge for a few days (or longer) an... |
