A/V Receiver for totem arros or staff
The NAD T753 has plenty of power for your Totems. The T763 only gives you more power (more than most people need for surround sound)and video switching for the second zone output. The RS-232 port on the T763 only allows advanced control systems to...
Denon 3910 vs Sony 999ES/9000ES
Keep the 9000 and buy a good $600 cd player for your cd-r's. The 999 is a great audio/video player but about $1,000. Sony has not made anything with the same build quality since the 9000.
SVS vs. Velodyne?
Martin Logan Dynamo subwoofer. Musical, small, affordable.NHT SW10II. High output. Affordable. Good for HT.
Tv set up with amp, dvd player in remote location?
Yes that will make it easier. Lots of cables will still be needed though unless you are going to use the tuner built into the tv and not connect DVD, VCR, Cable box or audio. A single gang 8 hole wall plate can accomodate the connctions for cable/...
My woofer won't stop barking...
Try unhooking your CATV. If it is pluged into your VCR or TV or cable box it can affect any equipment in your system. If there is a grounding problem (which there often is) it will show up in your subwoofer. Mondial Magic will take care of this 95...
Tv set up with amp, dvd player in remote location?
When you say amp I assume you mean receiver. When you say remote location I assume you mean a place that IR signals will not reach unassisted. This can be a very big can of worms. Speaker level, line level, video, CAT-5 wires to be run here there ...
Speakers for a first-time separates system?
Speakers are (in my opinion) the most important link in the chain and the most personal. Yes the pre, amp, source, etc does matter but the speaker is the only component that actually makes sound (ideally). Those who like horns are not often into m...
Where to find powercord adapter.
I thought that the instructions in that thread said to put the powercord INSIDE the refridgerator. Preferably in the freezer to get optimum CGR (copper-grain-reorientation). Don't get the cord too close to the icecream though because the electrons...
what CD player between 1-2K
The Jolida would be a good player to fix your midrange issues. Buy a couple of different makes of NOS tubes and roll until you are content.Good luck!
Best Efficient versatile Speaker reaching 30Hz?
Von Schweikert DB99 is 99dB efficent.Though not my taste, the old Klipsch K-horn is quite possibly the loudest speaker on earth. For those who want to rock... the entire block and maybee the sub-division accross the interstate and down the road.
Should I skip my power conditioner?
Compare Monster products to Tripp-Lite for surge protection.

Pioneer SXD-7000 Any Info on this BEAST ?
I bought one of those from the thrift store for my garage. I searched for info on it too. All I found is that in it's model year it was either the top of the line or near the top. The coax switching was a curiosity for me. Mine sounds like garbage...
Is there any way to get into tubes for super cheap
Jolida integrated amps are not very expensive and are new. Unless you buy a very well taken care of "vintage" unit you may find yourself spending money to keep it functional. All of these things have parts with finite life spans. The Jolida integr...
