Klipsch Vs. NHT NHT 2.5i pops up here sometimes. Killer speaker.Wouldn't waste my money on the T5 but the SB3 is great for HT. Get five identical speakers that respond to 39Hz. THey are also wall mountable if you so desire. Big bang for the buck.Good luck!

Does a listening room help or hinder? Lots of people treat music as a religious experiance(and it often can be). They hear good sound for the first time and are suddenly off to chase the Holy Grail of audiophilia. After years of buying and selling diferent peices of equipment, gradual...
phono preamps with a subsonic filter? Distortions caused by subsonics are audible. Though the filter can cause some vailing it is still preferable to the distortion and speaker/amplifier demands caused by subsonics. If it is important to you to be able to deactivate the filter for goo...

Do electrostatic speakers "break down" in time? no, no, no. If you poke lots of holes in the panel you are only halfway to audio nirvana. You have to add cable lifters and one of those "beaks" from Totem to your transport. I think that the hole poking test was supposed to calm fearful parents o...
Do electrostatic speakers "break down" in time? The panels are darn near indestructable. You can poke holes through something like 1/3 of the panel before affecting the sound (according to the rep). |
