Made in USA
I guess I am late to the party!  My company manufacturers tube audio components in the USA.  My partner is Chinese so I guess our products are made in the USA by a Chinese man!  LOL Happy Listening!

Buying Pet Peeve - Pictures
Your not buying a just browsing - so why are you upset, just move on. You can probably go to the manufacturer website and get better pictures anyway. If you are interested ask the seller to send you pictures, a phone number, and have a conversat...
recommendation of amps
IN the $6-7K range look for an FM Acoustic.  They do not sound SS.  Other options Counterpoint, HK, Spectral and have them modified.  Then you will have a refence quality component.
Analyzing DACs
You cannot pick a components by measurements alone.  Price has nothing to do with sound quality.  You have not mentioned what type of sound you prefer so every recommendation here is completely useless.  Do you like a tube sound or SS sound and do...

Audiphile Press: Am I jaded, experienced, or has it declined?
@ozzy - that is because those publications only will review equipment that is sold in brick and motor businesses.  They cannot risk to have a small manufacturer who may not stay in business not matter the sound.  We don't sell that way so we are l...
Whats the ultimate goal with your pre amp ?
Take a peak inside to see how the design is and what parts are used. How is the power supply? My guess is that you will find while some are more robust that others, the overall parts are close to being the same so overall the sound differences are...
Question regarding older phono preamp
Usage is what causes issues.  Time and heat. Since we have been repairing and upgrading components for a very long time, the main issue  is heat and chassis design. Many chassis look so beautiful but when you open them up, the parts are squeezed i...
tweaking audio systems with modifications.
You can build a really great sounding system using older components.  Older Counterpoint, HK, etc.  These can be upgraded to almost reference quality components.  Even the old Lafayette KT-550 power amp is a bargain and competes with current gear.
Audio gear, sonic quality when you listen in less (or non-) focused ways
Most people only realize that their system does not sound as good as it can until they hear something better in their system.  We have many people come to our listening room with their equipment and when they hear something that sounds better, the...
If you had $12k / £10k to upgrade your analogue front-end...
My advice is to find the best phono stage you can.  You can easily get a nice TT and cartridge for decent money.  We use a modified Lenco, and a Lady Bug cartridge.  Denon also makes a nice cartridge and there is a guy on eBay who makes the wood b...
room size question.
I think Audio Physics had an article on speaker placement on their website.  Not sure if it is still there. Equipment is also a big factor for soundstage depth and layering but pulling speakers off the back wall can sure help!
