Is there an affordable long run XLR preamp to amp cable out there?

Degritter brand ultrasonic record cleaner
Excellent prof! Degritter is proving to be a very conscientious group of fellas.
Oregon Audiophiles...
Thanks Mike, I hope to be able to make it to the next meeting. Are the members beer drinkers, or wine drinkers? ;-) ---Eric.

Guitar Center stocks the Mogami Gold balanced cables (with Neutrik XLR jacks) in a lot of different lengths, 3ft. to 50ft ($39.95 to $109.95). A 25 footer is $69.95. That microphone cable is the standard in recording studios.

@prof, I received a notice from Degritter that after the initial batch of machines were shipped out, a number of minor defects reared their heads, and the company was recalling those machines. Have you sent yours back?
Does anyone know anything about the audio dealer True Audiophile ?
Exactly, @robert53. I really hoped True Audiophile would prove to be up to my expectations in regard to turntable/arm/cartridge setup and alignment. But being told I would be met at some location in the area (I'm in Vancouver, just over the river ...
Hot CD Stamper?
I can't imagine a lone human being having enough time available to compare all the LP pressings of all the albums that have ever been made, the ones that just happen to come your way. Who knows, there may be even better ones out there than those T...
Best analog high pass filter for low $
If a 1st order high-pass filter is steep enough for you (6dB/octave), a cap can be installed on the input jacks of your power amp (inside the chassis is the common choice). Creating the filter thusly saves the cost of both a x/o and an extra set o...
Turntable that will be around heavy foot steps?
The suggestion of the Townshend Rock turntable is an excellent one. Unfortunately, the table is not currently in production, and used ones rarely come up for sale. I’m not about to sell mine, nor is, I believe, @slaw. But the Seismic Pods (around ...
Does anyone know anything about the audio dealer True Audiophile ?
In the name of clarity.....when I asked via email if I would be dropping off my table/arm/cartridge to have it aligned, I was NOT offered an in-home visit, but rather was told, as I stated above, that they would meet me at a to-be-arranged locatio...
Magnepan 20.7 and Subs
Most subs are themselves already rolling off at 30Hz. If you have the $, look into the Eminent Technology TRW-17 Rotary Woofer. It’s intended use is for the bottom octave (20Hz-40Hz) and below.
A DIY Swarm-based Distributed Bass Array for SOTA Bass
At a number of RMAF's, Danny Richie of GR Research placed a pair of his (and Rythmik Audio's) OB/Dipole Subs along side his main speakers at the front of the room, with a pair of sealed box subs (Rythmik F12G) at the rear, for a total of four subs...
Ugrade-itis - is there a cure?
I'll bet a lot of Audiogoners have systems that are ALREADY better than they need to be in terms of reproducing the mostly mediocre or worse recordings available commercially. The real work is finding good sounding LP's, CD's, etc., ones with soun...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
@reubent, you're right, in the context of Bill Monroe, Jim & Jesse, Flatt & Scruggs, The Louvin Brothers, The Stanley Brothers, Merle Travis, Del McCoury, etc., Chris isn't particularly hardcore. But I used the term with the typical Audiog...
Reel to reel
@inna, you are so right about Walt Davies. He had a hi-fi shop in the 70’s, and I bought my Revox A77 (which I still own!) from him. His Last products (for LP’s, styluses, CD’s, tapes, and recorders) are all excellent.
