Any Pink Triangle experts who can help me? thanks to both of you for your responses. The pictures belong to another guy who is "the other one" who thought he bought an Export. He's been trying to figure out how to assemble his table, which is why he posted the pics in Vinyl Engine. He does...
Laptop to record LP's? I got very satisfactory results using IBM 570 laptop and Musicmatch SW. It's a pain if you want to separate tracks, but if you're satisfied with 1 LP side = 1 track, it's just like recording to tape, but better sound quality by far.
whats your idea of loud music. Loud to me is realistic concert level sound volume. This is not the level I listen to all of the time, but when you really want to enjoy a particular piece of music, this is the test. For some music I listen to (prog rock, fusion, folk-rock, . .) t...
Misleading ad titles and prices I don't usually bother with those ads once I spot them.
Help cleaning LPs, residue left behind I had a similar problem using Phoenix Solution (with enzymes)bought from Sleeve City. I have since used the NG F2 exclusively and it works great, with no issues of residue, even when I over do it on the fluid. I'm using the NG RCM and vacumm thoro...
Speltz Anti-cable needs break-in period? hmmm, Drubin is perceptive. This apostrophe fetish must be catching on, ya think?
Speaker Daze Budget of 1500-2000 my room is pretty close to that size and my Sttafs are perfect. I have them about 4 1/2ft into the room from the wall, and my listening position is about 4ft in from the back wall. After trying many configs, this was ideal. I added a subwoofer (Re...
Best amp for GMA Europas? I recall a thread not long ago discussing what amps people are driving their Europas with. You may want to try a search.
Home cinema newbie questions...preamp advice I'm not sure if you'll really get much out of 3 channels vs Stereo. I find the center channel isn't always helpful, or even noticeable. This is especially true if your speakers image well. I do like having the rear channels however, and for that y...
How to repair a broken dust cover? thanks Dave!
Buying Used-Ever wonder??? I suppose I have; however this wasn't my experience with my Storm III. You may want to spend some time to ensure it's properly integrated.
Signet TK7SU - new stylus? while looking for another TT part I came across a source for the Sgnet Shibata stylus (LPGEAR.com) for $80. So the difference will be only $43, which I assume is worth it. I guess I'd still like learned opinions on my other questions . . . thanks!
Oddball question, hooking up REL Storm III Subwoof I've made my own Neutric cables, the connectors are available at Parts Express cheap, and hi-level input is definitely the way to go . . .Unless you have an old preamp sitting around that can be connected in parallel with your integrated I think y...
Ever use "switched" outlets on preamp? I ran my old Phase Linear 400 power amp using the switched outlet of my Rotel RC1070 for 3 years. Before that I used the switched outlet from a Marantz 3200 pre for 20 years. It worked great up until the time I upgraded and sold all that stuff off...
Acoustic Progressive Rock Matchstikman - from your comments I can't tell if Strawbs is your cup of tea, but if they do interest you and you're seriously looking for acoustic - check out Baroque & Roll. It was released last year, is totally acoustic, and has songs from ... |
