Turntable weight affects speed
I asked someone at pro-ject if I could use the same weight I use on my VPI Classic on the carbon TT and he said NO, too heavy for that TT. So, yes. Not every TT is built to handle those weights.
Could these be your next cable loom??...and price be damned.
LMAO all over again!!!
Is it possible for a high end manufacturer to overprice their goods?
LMAO!!!!! Sorry, nothing else to add.
Admitting my error…
Unfortunately, and I am sad to say, the glory days of buying old vinyl at decent prices were over about 5 years ago. Now, with the multitude of new folks wanting to get into vinyl, it is driving their cost to stupid levels. Old CDs are still avail...
What is the proper loudness for listening?
In my house of stereo, 75 to 80 db is my range for a fully immersive experience. Less and I don't really "feel" it, and more is completely unnecessary and saves my hearing for more years of enjoyment.
What is the most challenging music to play on a stereo?
A mono record.

Is soundstage DEPTH a myth?
I hear so much depth in my house of stereo, it's there, 100% real. The acoustic treatment and speaker positioning probably have most to do with it, but EVERYTHING does matter.

Thanks, will try that.
Absorption, Diffusion or a combination of it all?
You will need absorbers and diffusers for certain. Just look at my house of stereo. Too much work involved to put it in a post and it's all room dependent anyway. Keep at it, you will make mistakes, persevere and you will be glad you did.
