Denafrips Pontus 15th, Pass Labs INT-60, and Wilson Sabrinas May be I misunderstood but I thought you have no speaker cables at all. I may also be off track but why would you use garbage cables to break this system in? What baseline are you setting with Wilsons and Pass using garbage wiring? Unless that’s ...
Denafrips Pontus 15th, Pass Labs INT-60, and Wilson Sabrinas I have the Sabrina and drove them with Pass XA30.8 and X260.8. Your Int-60 will be fine if the room isn’t too big. As to the speaker cables, I used Furutech DSS-4.1, Audience AU24SX and Audience FrontRow. I also tried Nordost Tyr 2. Audience Fro...
Weiss DAC 204 hiccups @mojo771 well that certainly sucks. I was considering Weiss just recently as one of the options for my next DAC. Glad I didn’t go with it.
Weiss DAC 204 hiccups Sounds like a bad digital cable. Or a clock in the BS Node is malfunctioning. The network stream is buffered in the BS Node so it would have to be an outage of more than 30 seconds. Try Toslink or another digital cable or even an RCA cable. Even i...
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond Interested in hearing your opinion when you get your dac back. Message me please. Thx
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond @buellrider97 no problem don’t get too hung up on network filters. I don’t find them to be a necessity. But that’s system/setup dependent.
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond @buellrider97 yes. I think Audience Ethernet and USB are cut from the same sonic cloth. Even the coax resulted in the same improvement. In talking to a sales rep at The Cable Company it’s not an uncommon trend. Usually manufacturers who make exce...
Pulled the trigger on a Moon 861! Hope it pairs well on my Focals Simaudio Moon electronics are clear and transparent. Pair them with very revealing speakers and a front end that’s not on the same level and you’re in a world of trouble. I would say this is one of the cases when you can build your system around ...
Why so many AQ Hurricane PC's for sale? This thread has turned funny. One thing I love more than a good cable discussion is to go into members virtual systems page. Especially those stating cables don’t matter. It’s worth the click. Trust me. You see immediately why all cables sound the...
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC @gakman worth a try with money back policy. Also look into Audioquest and Audience. Moon Audio makes decent cables and I think they offer money back. Avoid blue jeans coax. While I like their interconnects, the coax is garbage.
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond @traubr you won’t regret upgrading to the latest “i” version. It’s a great DAC. I’m right there with you on being able to revert to ether a streamer in the Meitner or the N200. My approach is - do I miss the sound one of them offers to want to sw...
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond @traubr I tried the new Shunyata Alpha X USB cable. While very good and more detailed than the Audience FrontRow USB cable I have now and the Stealth USB I had for a brief period of time, I find Shunyata lean and cool sounding. It’s not as musical...
Help Needed - Popping sound when powering on a new setup! You got it! Glad it was as easy as this
TOSLINK Optical vs Coaxial for CD transport to DAC Yes coax is generally better than toslink. What is your budget for a new cable?
Wireworld Platinum Starlight® 10 Twinax and AQ Diamond Thx! Listening last night when the house was quiet confirmed that I love the sound. |
