USB Cables: beginning the rabbit hole
@dvvilkins can you list your digital components that you would be connecting with this new USB cable?
New Innuos Pulse, need assistance.
Could be many things. First try usb cable. But keep in mind you’re just getting more details with the new streamer. Changing one of the main components such as streamer or dac may require additional changes such as cables or even adjusting speaker...
New Innuos Pulse, need assistance.
Few things…. 1. Allow InnuOS 200hrs of streaming to break in if it’s new   2. MA8950 DAC is slightly sharp sounding. It’s not that great if it’s the DA1 version.  3. with coax you use the clock in the streamer. With USB you rely on DAC clock. W...
Furutech PC's?
👍 yeah it’s a pretty simple outlet just well built and provides good connectivity. I’m not excluding a possibility that running some components off Furu and some off Shunyata might be a good combo. We’ll see when the Shunyata breaks in.

I don’t think you need to use tidal connect. You should be logging into tidal from the BluOS once to set it up. From that point forward you should be streaming with BluOS from your smart phone or tablet.
Furutech PC's?
@ryder yes Definitely the mix is key. One thing that’s undeniable with furutech outlets, connectors and cables is they lower the noise floor. As I mentioned above I just installed shunyata outlets and really like them. Still have the 2 furu gtx-d...
Furutech PC's?
@ryder DSS-4.1 were ok. Honestly not too crazy about the Furutech sound. I traded them in to TMR for a set of Audience FrontRow speaker cables. In direct comparison with Furutech prior to finalizing my decision the Audience won. I took about a wee...
A not sarcastic question for the power conditioner/upgraded power cord folks
@kennymacc I wasn’t doubting your results. I’m happy you’re content with your power distribution components. I’d be interested in trying the AQ 3000 or similar level conditioner at some point to see if it makes a positive impact. May be some day. ...
A not sarcastic question for the power conditioner/upgraded power cord folks
@kennymacc 👍 Digital sources poop noise back into the AC line. A good power conditioner makes sense as it not only cleans up the AC going to your components but also cleans up and reduces the noise going back into the AC line. Once again the desi...
A not sarcastic question for the power conditioner/upgraded power cord folks
@kennymacc fyi…your AQ Niagara uses transformers and as such it is an active power conditioner. It works on the same principle as a Puritan PSM156 which is a current limiting active power conditioner. May be the high current outlets in the Niagara...
USB and Coaxial at the same time?
@rvpiano if it sounds good just enjoy it
A not sarcastic question for the power conditioner/upgraded power cord folks
@immatthewj moving the outlets and going direct to wall would be my preference as well. I just installed a second Shunyata SR-Z1 outlet. Got the first one a week ago. Really nice and not very expensive. Consider these when you  work on moving the ...
USB and Coaxial at the same time?
richardbrand 272 posts 02-09-2025 at 03:43pm  @erik_squires USB of course is the only choice for very high resolution formats and DSD You are really ruling out HDMI?  Really?   You are trolling again. We’re taking about Aurender N20...
USB and Coaxial at the same time?
@rvpiano USB cut out the highs? That’s strange. I only had DH Labs coax and I actually got more vibrant sound from USB. Even stock USB cable sounded more open. Could be that Shunyata cable no bueno.

Cool. As to switch…unless you are looking to split Ethernet don’t bother. Get a good Ethernet cable instead
