Shunyata " Copperhead " ........user's feedback
Go with the Taipan Alpha instead. Better overall, although the copperhead is not a bad cable, it'll make you curious how the Taipan sounds.

Is an IPOD hi-fi?
Ferrari, I do realize now that you are much more intelligent than most of us here and Audiogon.....heck forget Audiogon...you are more intelligent than the American public! Simply by displaying the pride of non-ownership of an iPod. Way to go man,...
CD/DVD Modding : Pros & Cons.
If you want to try a modded unit, I would suggest looking for an already modified by a reputable modder used unit. This to me is more logical because the resale value of the modded components is terrible. If you buy 2/3k player and spend about $1k...
Is an IPOD hi-fi?
My 80gb iPod playing uncompressed files sounds awesome through the Grado SR60 'phones when I listen to it at work and it sounds even better with my Senns HD-580 at home. Ferrari, I would not call it a complete junk. If the files are uncompressed(I...
need opinions on new cdp
I own an ARC CD3MkII and it is a very dynamic and musical player. However, it is best run balanced. If your setup doesn't allow for balanced connection between cd player and preamp, don't bother with ARC as you will get at the most 85% of its perf...

In your previous post you said you will disconnect the cable from the cable box. Has this been tried already?
What has been your most satisfying component?
Can't say that they stood the test of time yet, but so far so good - ARC CD3MkII cd player and Pass Labs X250.5 amplifier. The component that stood the test of time in my system was an ARC LS-15 preamp - almost 7 years!

Weiserb, you have to take the coax cable out of the box. Disconnecting the receiver to preamp connection will not do. It is not on the connection level. Please take out the coax cable from the cable box and re-check.

Wait with the electrician. Try this first.disconnect the coax cable(cable tv) at its first point of entry into your house. Unplugging the cable box won't do. You need to take the coax cable out. Then put the ground pins back on the PS Audio cables...

it's probably a ground loop. You can either use cheater plugs or you need a ground loop isolator. Is the cable tv near by the system?
ac conditioner
X250 amp is better run directly into the wall. I haven't had good luck with my X250.5 and Shunyata Hydra. For preamp and source, you may benefit from a good line conditioner.
Tube pre-amp pop
I would recommend bringing your preamp to the dealer and check it there in their system.
Tube pre-amp pop
It's the dealer you should ask for exchange, not the ARC.Does the pop sound quieter when the preamp is warmed up?
Symphony 5th - best recording
I was kind of doubting they would play the 5th by Mahler or Shostakovich on the kids show.....even though little Einsteins, but still......I have Beethoven's 5th, conducted by Karajan on DG that is a very good performance and a good recording.
