Pass Labs INT-25 or equivalent in another brand I wouldn’t worry about that too much. You can listen to it and hear it improve. It will be great from the moment you plug it in though…I’m pretty certain of that.
Pass Labs INT-25 or equivalent in another brand @travisg Congrats! Let us know how it sounds. @steveashe is right on with the note on warm up. It should sound great right out of the gate but give it 24hrs after the first day then about an hour thereafter to warm up. Pass amps are awesome and th...
Power Cord recommendations for a First Watt SIT3 What gauge is the stock cord supplied with the pass amp? If I’m not mistaking it’s a 14 gauge power cord and it is not bad. However, I have owned two Pass Labs amps and both benefitted from a power cord upgrade. I used Shunyata Taipan Alpha Helix...
McCormack dna-1 upgrade or no @teo_audio +1 on that suggestion. You got an amp that’ll compliment better speakers.
Power Cable Break In - Such a Change! @ozzy I put together two new power cords about a week ago using Furutech FP-S55N with FI-50 NCF and FP-S032N with FI-28(R). Going thru almost exactly the same nasty break in as you are experiencing with Audioquest. The minute I plugged the new p...
Verastarr Good to hear Mike came around! Hopefully he’ll do right by you.
Recommendations for automatic tonearm lift @kenrus From what you’re describing it sounds like you should double check your antiskate, leveling of your table or both.
Upgrade platter/sub platter or cartridge on Rega p2? With P2 keep in mind the cartridge height. There’s no VTA adjustment on that table. I had good luck with Hana EL. It seems to fit perfectly.
Recommendations for automatic tonearm lift Say hello to my Little Fwend! Seriously…good stuff. I have it on my MoFi UltraDeck and love it. Easy to use just remember to press it down before you play a record.
Verastarr @rpfmusicman yup I wouldn’t hold my breath but anything is possible. He might send you a replacement. The tone of his response doesn’t show a lot of concern for your situation though.
Verastarr You did the right thing by posting here. Keep us in the loop on how this develops. Hope Mikey will get back to you now and do the right thing.
Verastarr @lalitk I’m sure Mikey @mikepowellaudio has a legitimate excuse for this unusual delay 6 months? Let’s hear that excuse. He’ll probably get to this warranty work as soon as he’s done making YouTube videos.
Best budget turntable? Rega makes good sounding tables but with Rega you run into lack of flexibility with adjustments. You’re going to need to be carefully matching a cartridge to arm for VTA or potentially use spacers. In either case it’s a pain and you’re loosing tha...
Should I upgrade the cable of my Line Conditioner? @xcool I found in my system power cords used on power conditioner make a difference. What difference are you looking to make, what exactly are you trying to improve? Type of power cord and type of design, conductors and connectors all matter. ...
Dunlavy SC IV Speaker- Any Good??? I went to hear these locally over 20 years ago when I was out on a speaker search. They were properly set up in a nice size room and driven by either plinius, Levinson or Krell…one of those I can’t remember exactly. I do remember though that I wa... |
