ETHERNET CABLES @soix this thread unfortunately had gone south…most likely can’t be salvaged.
ETHERNET CABLES Great analogy @12many Now add to that crumpled piece of paper a pound of peanut butter sprinkled with sand that was packed into that parcel thoroughly coating every mm of that paper You will work harder and longer to clean it up to determine th...
Right match Break in wont fix what you’re describing. Have you read the manual? Have you contacted the dealer or seller that sold you this preamp to attempt to troubleshoot it over the phone?
ETHERNET CABLES @samgar2 👍
ETHERNET CABLES @samgar2 I believe you had asked a question to get educated, take your system to the next level, explore and learn. You have a variety of opinions here with some that are based on theories and some based on personal experience and objective listen...
ETHERNET CABLES just let it go @nonoise you will be annoying the ASR crowd and wasting your time. Looks like ASR site may have been down for maintenance or they all just took a wrong exit.
Right match Matching pre to amp you use pre output impedance and amp input impedance
Right match Also, your M8 output impedance is 47ohm and a perfect match with your amplifier’s input impedance of 50kohm.
Right match There is a switch on the back of M8 that toggles between MM and MC. Like I said if you are using a turntable, make sure it plugged into the phono input on the back of M8, it is grounded to the ground screw, and the MM/MC toggle switch is set accor...
Right match What cartridge is on your turntable?
Router for Audio Streaming I’m using EERO mesh. Works good.
Right match If the M8 is a line stage only or you have your turntable plugged into a line level input or you have a low out MC cartridge and you have your phono input set to MM you would experience what you’re describing .
Right match I get it. I was asking what your source is and whether or not you have your turntable directly plugged into the m8 preamp
Right match @rucan65 What is your source? Are you using an output of a turntable connected to a line level in on the musical fidelity preamp? Luxman has a built in phono stage…that’s the only explanation I can find other than your preamp is broken.
Ethernet - Analog/Digital Signal Clean Up @mitch2 cool. I’ve done few experiments in the last week or so in my system. I picked up a used Purist CAT7 ethernet cable (good deal couldn’t resist). So I ended up listening for a few days with the Purist cable to get acclimated to it. I then r... |
