Why do some audiophiles beat up McIntosh?
Don't get me wrong..I wash trashing Bose, not McIntosh. The first time I heard McIntosh was in 1970. Went to a Christmas dinner on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The host had a MAC tube receiver in his living room hooked up to a pair of floo...
Why do some audiophiles beat up McIntosh?
Yep..about as iconic as Bose. Back in 1970 those Doctor's and Dentist's loved putting together their MAC gear with Blose speaker's. Yuk! Put my finger down my throat!
CODA CSIb vs. HEGEL H-300 INTEGRATED
It appears many Audiophiles are not aware that Coda even exisits due to Coda's very low profile. For those who owned Threshold back in the day Coda has carried on and improved the sonic character in their current products that was Threshold. Coda ...

Preamp for Parasound A21?
Agm..don't be deceived by the bland utility look of the Wyred4Sound STP-SE. It has 88,000 microfarads of filter capacity. It has 164,560 microfarads of current storage capacity which is one of the highest in the industry of any Pre-amp at $20K or ...

Preamp for Parasound A21?
The Wyred4Sound STP-SE. State of the art Preamp for $2K. A reviewer of the STP-SE two years ago put it up against the Esoteric C-03 Preamp which cost $10K. In the same sound room, the STP-SE trounced the Esoteric. It has tremendous detail, large s...

Just read the late April review of the H-300 in TAS by Chris Thomas. Very disappointing. Too short and too brief of a review. Chris describes the sound as a little soft but did not go into detail of all the performance aspects that are covered in ...
Do you think LP needs break-in to sound its best?
Audiolui..you must be a budding Audiophile and there is nothing wrong with that. Audiophiles are well aware that there is slight residue in the record grooves from the cutting stylus in a record factory that will clear out after several plays. Tha...
Do you think LP needs break-in to sound its best?
I only use 78 rpm records. The good thick stuff from 1897.I always keep one in my trunk for a spare tire.
Do you think LP needs break-in to sound its best?
I think this thread is permanently derailed!..lol!..
Sneaky new internet tax pushing through fast
Even though it passed in the Senate, it has to pass in the House, and doesn't appear to have enough votes. Speaker Boehner will sandbag the Bill by throwing it into committee. So far, so good.

Back myself up? You betchum junior! The founding engineer'sat Coda are Eric Lauchli, Doug Dale, the President of the company, and Lorin Peterson. They are legendary. They were the designer's with Nelson Pass at Threshold back in the 80's. Threshol...
