A deeper more holographic soundstage.
If you want to get an accurate reconstruction of the depth built into the recording which is a mix of:VolumeReverb and pre-delayModified frequency responseYou need smooth frequency response and to control reflections. How much is that affected by ...

What speakers do you have @snarfie23? That almost look like something is broken. It is not a suck out, but a total shelving between about 220Hz if I am reading it correctly.

Problem is you can’t isolate the room acoustics from the loudspeaker position or the loudspeaker, and given the op has limited space, then loudspeaker position and room acoustics cannot be decoupled and must both be considered to achieve the best ...
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible.
My gosh look at the people without an understanding of acoustics (probably who didn't even read the article in detail) puffing their chests. While bipolar and omnidirectional speakers obviously were not a consideration for any of those articles, Kl...
Does Anyone Think CD is Better Than Vinyl/Analog?
Funny, last time I checked, the signal coming out of my DAC was analog ....
Perfect Speaker Placement - Put next to the back wall as much as possible.
When Mike Lavigne built his room he hired an acoustics expert, not you Miller and you still fail to understand it is not simply about a recording studio (where the sound YOU listen to was created) but about understanding the REAL impact of speaker...

Oh, that should be FRONT wall not back wall.

Ignore Millercarbon’s comment. He would never let someone else’s obviously superior knowledge get in the way of his bravado. Odds are he didn’t even read it.The article is targeted at near field monitor usage with emphasis on accurate frequency re...

I see no mention of acoustic upgrades only equipment. More equipment is just throwing money away on this problem. Only way to fix a limited space is acoustic treatment.  A sub array may help too.

Article: "Spin Me Round: Why Vinyl is Better Than Digital"
No, not theoretically, absolutely and by every practical measure including our ears. You are taking preference and substituting it for accuracy, and no you can't make that judgment in absence of knowing that the original sounds like which would be...

If you didn't write the quote, why do you assume it is about you? And you are still assigning special properties to timbre within the framework of music playback and this "analog only" or "digital only" statement makes no sense. Digital recording ...
Point of higher priced streamer?
I have used a Chromecast Audio feeding a Benchmark DAC2 and the noise floor was dead silent, as I would expect with any optical connection to be. That said, I was using ROON, and I have no idea what you were using. Unless your sofware was ensuring...
Article: "Spin Me Round: Why Vinyl is Better Than Digital"
It appears simple if you have a simplistic understanding of how things work. There is nothing "infinite" about analog recordings. Not even remotely. That you assign an infinite to them shows lack of understanding. That you think digital discards t...

Without noise reduction best you will ever get out of tape is about 90db, with 80db more realistic. I will give you 90 for interests sake. Bandwidth at full SNR is likely about 20KHz, but I will give you 30KHz.  Can't use noise reduction or any ot...
