Class D
Stereophile tester JA does not say what George thinks he says and JA is not an amplifier designer. Neither is George hence why he keeps making wrong statements about Class D.  Read some other threads. George can never justify his statements and ca...
What does Roon give me beyond just Tidal HiFi?
Mainly Room gives me precious time. It's not perfect but it's like my accountant. It worries about things like bit-perfect and device integration so I don't have to. DSP functionality can be useful too.
Class D
Most of George's post is wrong. EPDR has no meaning really for ClassD.  As well, doubling power with half impedance has little meaning.  All that matters is distortion with low impedance loads.  Most amps that double in power start at comparativel...

Humans are not reducible to numbers....Or apparatus...Perception of timbre is a subjerctive/objective complex problem...Reducing it to Nyquist theorem is ridiculous... She also think so...No, this is what she says. But the limitations of math in re...

Magister,Come on bud. There is literally no information in that article. Nothing. Some hand waving with 0 attachment to the real world at all. None. And given just a PhD candidate, not in signal processing, there is more than a small chance that h...
Point of higher priced streamer?
The post in which the term "chi-fi" was introduced was racist. The lack of maturity some illustrate in this thread is disturbing. Some people act more like school yard bullies than adults.

It was a rather weak "paper" not based in any verified reality. There is nothing at all scientific about the paper nor really mathematical for that matter. She is not at all a subject matter expert.note: no there is is no explanation of the Nyquis...

+1 sandthemall.I am going to offend some people but I really question what their systems sound like no matter the superlatives. You have experienced yourself. There really is no substitute for acoustic treatment though advanced DSP like the BACHH ...

I read a lot of things written here as if they are gospel. I will give you my own experience.Gospel? No. Physical reality yes.If your speakers are two feet from the wall it's easy to calculate where you will have a null in the frequency response.S...

Dchang05,  isn't this how you describe your new system?I purchased BHK preamp, M1200, and P15 together three weeks ago. The first week they sounded flat and dull, but now they are phenomenal. So are they phenomenal or did you lose soundstage widt...

Ground zero claims that their system negates the AC ground connection impact. That assumption is based on the assumption that their ground connection is much better than the one via the AC plug. That is not guaranteed, so for test purposes to star...
