UPS on DC controlled tables?
How about plugging in the DC TT power supply/motor controller into a device like the old PS Audio Power plants. in other words power conditioning and AC voltage regulation devices? Would that make a difference?

Acoustic Signature Turntables
Go for the Mambo with better arm. It is agreat table. I used to own one and miss some of its qualities.I had a triplanar on mine and it worked great, but arm should really be chosen in the context of the cartridge.
Titan, Transfiguration Orpheus or Air Tight PC1??
Raul,Why the SME? Is this because it may have some under-damped, flubby bass which may have some "synergy" with a leaner sounding Skala? I'm starting to wonder how much arm/cartridge matching is really just compensating one wekaness with another.....
SME V, Tri-Planar or Phantom B-44 ?
iSanchez,Thanks for the welcome and most of all the explanation. Honestly I have been enjoying my system so much that I have been spending less time on the internet. I also find it a bit frustrating some times seeing threads go back and forth and ...

SME V, Tri-Planar or Phantom B-44 ?
Hello all,Its been a while since I posted something on the gon. Its unfortunate to have these types of"best of", "a vs b" posts answered by folks who have not done direct comparisons in the same system. Indirect comparisons, conjecture, assumption...

SME V, Tri-Planar or Phantom B-44
Downunder,The Raven and Triplanar sounds great. No complaints.however I can't really say if they gel together because I haven't tried any other arms. The triplanar has been my first and only. Guess I'm lucky in this regard. My interest in the Phan...
SME V, Tri-Planar or Phantom B-44
BTW, I have heard from several users who have compared the version I and II and say that the arms are more alike than they are different. In one case the arm was subjected to a cable cooker prior to use. He describes the "house sound" of the Phant...
Shunyata vs. Virtual Dynamics power cords
I have to agree about the Virtual Dynamics Revelation pc. It transformed my Wadia cd player. Very noticeable and positive improvement.I found it made a bigger difference on the CD system than the power amp, but that may be susyem dependnet
TriPlanar Tips
Thanks Doug. I will try that especially since I have been experiencing some drift. Merry Christmas. When you're in Atlanta you will have to come by. the system is sounding better than ever.Andrew
