Importance of clocking
In my setup both the Etherregen on Ethernet and the UIP on USB can run on their own clocks or supported by the 10m clock. The difference in sound quality isn‘t subtle and that is what my post was about. It seems you are arguing from first principl...
Importance of clocking
@kijanki    What about the clock accuracy releasing the buffer, then?
Importance of clocking
I think that minimising jitter throughout the digital chain rather than just at the A/D conversion stage has primary importance. Buffering is not a recipe for avoiding jitter. And it‘s the quality of the clock more than the length of the cables th...
40+ watts SET, cost is not a problem
wavac 833 if cost is no constraint
Benefits of adding a 10MHz Master Clock to a digital system
So you are just sounding off rather than trying to meaningfully contribute to the discussion, aren’t you?
Tweaking Etherregen
I only have the audio, connection; yet the additional grounding in my case materially increases resolution
Benefits of adding a 10MHz Master Clock to a digital system
@botrytis  A clear case of designer myopia: it’s not just the dac conversion that benefits from reclocking but the real benefits come from synchronised reclocking of the ethernet input signal, USB link and conversion, i.e. three separate steps. T...
New Network Acoustics Tempus switch
It‘d be interesting to compare this to an InnuOS Phoenix Net or an Etherregen with precision clocking and LPS. Anyone care to comment?
Absorption of digital hash
I put shungite between tubes and tranformers on my Wavac EC300b as well as on top of all my power supply transformers. Clarity and Impulse!
Absorption of digital hash
+1 on shungite, @mahgister is right
ENGLISH ELECTRIC EE-1 High-performance network noise isolator ? Yay or Nay?
@lloyd1969  I‘d suggest to use it even before the route, alternatively between router and switch is a good place, too. Pink Faun suggests to use it directly into the streamer and as each system reacts differently tryong it out everywhere is the b...
Dog pissed on speaker
…as to potential buyers: how about someone into dogging?
Dog pissed on speaker
How about getting doggy to piss on the other one, too? You might get a whizzer cone into the bargain….
It's your streamer, not your modem
cable is inherently noisy and using isolators and switches to clean it up has proven effective widely. It isn’t just the streamer’s buffering, EMI/RFI and ground level noise do corrupt signals beyond most DAC’s cleanup capabilities and reclocking ...
How important is the efficiency of a speaker to you?
@phd  At 102db efficiency may I suggest you try SETs rather than push pulls? You might be in for a big surprise. A classic 300b amp will amply drive those speakers unless they have a weird impedance pattern
