Who says cables don't make a difference?
Is it possible that one can be fooled by Canare just as easily as by any other brands in cables?  If you're someone who distrusts cable, why would you believe Canare over any other brands.  So you are just as gullible as those who would blindly tr...
Who says cables don't make a difference?
The cable budget would have to be proportional to the overall system cost. A $20K system with Belden is like buying a Ferrari and cheap out on the tires.  You don't want the cable to be the bottle-neck on the performance just as tires limiting the...

Robert has been mysteriously absent lately.  His last few posts were complaining that people have been ganging up on him.  Maybe you guys were hurting his feeling.
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
Power conditioner is no different from any other piece of audiophile equipment, the manufactures probably want to supply the cheapest possible power cables just so that they say they do.
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
What is harder to imagine is why anyone would buy a power conditioner from the manufacturer who supplies an inadequate cable I think it's profit margin and they probably want to buyer to pay for the cable.  A good power cable can cost quite a b...
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
As for power conditioner, just because you have one, does not mean the power cable does not matter.Imagine you have a power conditioner, but your power cable is slim and tiny, it will definitely affect the performance of the power conditioner.  Th...
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
not to isolation of the high frequencies from intentional power line filtering, leakage inductance, and frequency dependent hysteresis of the core, etc. It's called filtering, not isolation.  Please be precise.  Again you're using layman term.  ...

Atadvid got no class.  Have you any shame?
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
Atadavid, do this simple experiment. Why don’t you do build a transformer and try to capture energy from the AC power line in your backyard. You will get arrested because you will cause fluctuation in power on the main line. What you do in the seco...
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
OK, where did you "copy and paste" from?  You don't even understand what you're posting.  I am telling you david there is no such thing as "isolation".  You are just using layman language for electrical engineering that is not even accurate.
Who says cables don't make a difference?
I have to say boxer12 was extremely polite in his response which is something I am myself not capable of.On the other hand, david was all over with his hands swing at all directions.
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
A transformer is not an "isolator".  There is something called "mutual inductance".  Electrical 101.  If you open the secondary coil, the primary coil could go high impedance.Atadavid, you don't know electrical engineering.  Basically transformer ...
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
There is a reason why it's called "power conditioner" and not "power isolation".  If one is capable of reading schematic circuit, then one would understand there is no such thing as "isolation".But I don't expect Atadavid to understand that.
Who says cables don't make a difference?
Could it be that designers of those products do use measurements to some extent? Yes, of course.  Any decent designer should use measurement.  The point is at the end, any good designer would have to listen, just like anyone, to tell whether it...

Did he pee on your cables or something? Wait a minute.  Is this something he would do if he got triggered?
