Why does my DAC sound so much better after upgrading digital SPDIF cable? Good post dyna. there is actually a third group of which I was one. When I started in this hobby I bought into all the cabling nonsense but as I learn more about how things work now I realize 90% of its bs. I’m not sure why people find it so dif...
Anyone used these audio ceramic slow blow fuses from Littlefuse? @ramtubes excellent post pretty much sums up my views. So teoaudio do you think this ram tubes hack knows what he is talking about? Maybe you should educate him on how electrical circuits work. 🙄🙄
Looking for a low heat tube amp Music reference makes an el84 with good power output, not sure what the price is.
Looking for a low heat tube amp I was also going to suggest an el84 amp. Also maybe some good window coverings.
Does anyone care to ask an amplifier designer a technical question? My door is open. I have been checking out some of your videos on YouTube, especially the one at burning amp I think it was. Loved it! Really appreciate all your doing.
High efficiency is critical. You could also go with a used pair of 604s. I do and augment the bottom and I couldn’t be happier.
Any good reasons to use transistor phono stage and line level preamp instead of tube ? Im with bigkidz, I have always found good tube gear to image and soundstage better, more 3D.
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... Pretty hard to recommend cartridges for someone. Folks can recommend something that will work compliance wise on the arm but as far as this sounds signature it’s very personal. I find cartridges either fall into the warm and syrupy sounds or into...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... I think for the folks who don’t agree with the current pricing, the answer lies in older use the cartridges. As I said in a previous post I felt my NOS fidelity research bested my Topflite VDH in someways and was not quite as good in others. But...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... Actually regarding output, I have found that I tend to enjoy cartridges with lower outputs. If there is a model with both generally the one with the lower output is more well regarded. This is because there are less turns on the coil so you get a...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... I don’t Think it’s fair at all to call the OP a troll. I don’t like getting ripped off and I don’t like the direction that the high end industry is going in in the last 15 years I’ve been involved.
ANALOGUE AND DIGITAL SYNERGY I enjoy both but used to be hard-core analog. Now I realize that the quality of the recording and mastering is paramount. It’s so frustrating to have music you love sound so horrible on your system. Such as meatloaf bat out of hell. You wonder w...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... @daveyf no I don’t remember what the serial number was. But if it were not legit I can’t see that guy standing behind it like he did.
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... @dgarretson + 100!@daveyf sure look brand new to me! Also the guy i sold it to destroyed it while installing it and even though it wasn’t warranty covered the guy I bought it from treated him very well. When I purchased it he told me I had a ful...
The nightmare of the cartridge buyer... OP what did you end up getting and where did you get it? |
