Don Sachs Owners Thread @lous good to know. After the 2nd set of Linlai finish breaking in, I will compare them to my other tubes. Thanks, aldnorab
Don Sachs Owners Thread The D. Sachs D2 linestage sounds really great now that the 4 Linlai E 6SN7 tubes have broken in. It is large and imposing with such large tubes stacked on double socket savers. It takes up a lot more shelf room. The tubes seem to do everything dar...
Tube Socket Savers, why? I use socket savers to raise 2 of the 4 Linlai Global E 6SN7. This allows them to fit in a preamp that has too close spacing for such huge 6SN7s. Each tube is 2" in diameter. Thanks, aldnorab
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @rocray that is a shame. Didn't know it was possible to damage a tube this way. Know one has to be careful turning a big amp back on too quickly. Was also told one should never turn a preamp on/off with phono input selected. Thanks for the warning...
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager? @markmuse why change preamps? Just install a complete new set of tubes and you should be set for years. Unless you want to do major tube rolling. You decided on your amp by using the current preamp. Changing it will be like a start over and a lot ...
Been intrigued by this power amp since it was introduced. Yes, another " D " thread. @mrdecibel SuperBestFriends had a Warp 1 tour. The participants posted their impressions. The designer even chimes in a few times and adds useful info. Well worth reading. Thanks, aldnorab
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @bugredmachine those are the socket savers I'm using. They fit tight and work fine in my Don Sachs linestage. It does look a little odd to have two tubes plugged in straight and the other tubes towering above them on stacked socket savers. The soc...
Anyone compare LSA Warp 1 to PS Audio S300? @mrdecibel usually a well reviewed, low price, component sells well. No comments makes me wonder how well it is selling. LSA doesn't accept returns. This makes it difficult to jump start a new product. @carlsbad I've never heard a Kinki. Imagine...
Is the Holo Titanis the same as the USBe Perfect? @koestner looks can be deceiving. The USBe perfect uses lots smaller smd parts. They are much harder to work with, probably almost impossible by hand. The USBe could be a much more complex circuit, but appear simpler because everything is so much...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes Sorry, man's name above is Deyan. When I try to edit post above tablet goes crazy. Thanks, aldnorab
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @danmar123 the fellow that makes adapters is in this thread https://www.head-fi.org/threads/schiit-happened-the-story-of-the-worlds-most-improbable-start-up.701900/page-6112 Scroll down until you see the picture of a similar shaped adapter. ...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @bugredmachine what a bummer. I'd consider calling Don Sachs for guidance. The Linlai are so big that even staggered with 1 socket saver on left front and right rear the tubes were touching. Didn't notice this at first. The tubes weren't fitting c...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @danmar123 . Had to stagger mine. Distance between front & back row is less than side to side. So I have left front and right rear on two socket savers each. That barely clears on my linestage. On another forum a man has offered to make custom...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes @danmar123 my socket savers came from tubesandmoredotcom. Sku P-st8-1000. Item id 003356. They are black and 9.95ea. My older dual gain control linestage can't fit 4 Linlai with just two socket savers. The front & back rows are too close. Had ...
