Thinking about a new, lower end CD Player Glad your CD woes have been solved. Happy Listening...BTW the older ES series Sony CD players are very good.
What I miss about vintage gear +1 mapman. Cool VU meters are just an app away....
Thinking about a new, lower end CD Player +1 rhljazz. I also have a Bluesound Node 2 and I could not agree more. There are many streaming services that work with Bluesound and the album selection, flexibility and sound quality trounce 2/3 of all CD players you could buy and ALL the CD pla...
Can you live with your current speaker until you die? Someone mentioned buying some really great big tall speakers with a deep cabinet. And when they die, use one cabinet as a coffin to be buried in. That’s a cost saving idea, but I think I’ll go for cremation so a small bottle will work.
Vandersteen TREO CT's with Pass Labs XA60.8 I don’t think one can go wrong with Pass, I think they make one of the better audio amps.
Preamp tube Why not try some NOS? American and European tube companies in the older days of audio made great vacuum tubes. Sylvania, RCA, GE, Mullard, Raytheon and many others...
Please...dont flame me (Bose 901-Series I help) I bought the 901 series5 in about 1984. I had an old SAE 501 amp driving them with about 250 watts per speaker max. In my opinion the 901 speakers did not sound better with more power, just went louder and filled the room with loud sound. I anchor...

Need Preamp and Amp to Match Vandersteen 3A Signature Speakers This amp would sound awesome if you can find it in your price range. I own an LM Audio integrated and it gives wonderful sweet tube sound. http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/line-magnetic-219ia-integrated-tube-amp-review-300b-and-845-tube-magic...
Need Preamp and Amp to Match Vandersteen 3A Signature Speakers What is your budget? You can get really nice gear at $3000, but much better at $6000. Also whichever amp/preamp you buy placement on the 3a will really make a huge difference in sound. I have the 2CE Sig II and they are very nice speakers indeed!
Advice Needed: Bluesound Node vs Vault Keep in mind when getting a Node 2, as I have mentioned in a previous response to this post, the name for artwork in each folder with music is Cover.jpg. This is the default for Bluesound now.https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/articles/200271...
Advice Needed: Bluesound Node vs Vault I can only speak about the Node 2 from my experience. If you have many ITunes rips or files, Bluesound may not like the file folders and you may not have artwork for albums. I had to add many, many jpg files to my files for albums so that Bluesoun...
Basic/mid fi headphone advice. +3 Grado h-phones. To be honest if your phones sound too loud someone else can hear, you'd be looking at hearing damage. So many of us have it and tinnitus. Not fun....
