Help with Preamp Selection and Network player
Audiocircle does the same thing as Audiogon. The forum is mainly to support and sell gear. Audiocircle helps manufacturers and Audiogon helps dealers. You can get good advice if you look PAST these guys. In fact, because of what they say in these ...
Line Magnetic quality
Yes do let us know your impressions of this amp and the tube rolling results. Overall and compared to other brands, not too much written on the Line Magnetic Audio products, therefore user experiences like yours and mine (long ago I wrote about th...
How much would I lose going to a Bluesound Node 2i
I would say that the Bluesound Vault and Node products are like the Magnepan MMG speakers. Very good sounding budget audio products.
Advice Needed: Bluesound Node vs Vault
I know you have had problems contacting Bluesound customer service but I would like to add that when I have done so, to fix problems like reindexing files, finding shares with my music on a NAS hard drive the guys have been very helpful. They have...
Sound Quality of red book CDs vs.streaming
Bo knows!! Merry Christmas to all and to all Tru-Fi audio! Hohoho.
Sound Quality of red book CDs vs.streaming
I think system variations and opinions on this matter will vary greatly. I have two CD players in two audio systems and have compared the sound of those to my Node 2 streaming ripped CDs. Most often the ripped versions sound slightly better, but m...
How much would I lose going to a Bluesound Node 2i
That is an impossible question to ask. We cannot tell you that what you hear with the Node 2i will be better or worse than what you have. Those are your ears, your brain and psychology. But the Node 2i is considered a budget component, therefore y...
Topping Dacs D-50, DX-7, and DX7s
Just saying I think I care about many things related to a dac...including how it sounds. There are many factors I consider when buying a car. The quality of the parts, reputation of the company, the performance, reliability, warranty, etc, etc. Th...
Topping Dacs D-50, DX-7, and DX7s
An interesting article. But unless I missed something the author did not mention how it sounds??? I remember when I first bought a Benchmark DAC and it measured very well, but many people complained it sounded clinical. I was not bothered by that,...
Bluesound Vault 2i, Cocktail Audio X40 or ??????????
The Node 2i and Node 2 are akin to the Swiss Army knife of the audio world. Lots of choices for audio streamers, dacs, servers devices but not too many that do as many varied tasks, with as much versatility as the Nodes. With the Vault it’s like a...

Bluesound Vault 2i, Cocktail Audio X40 or ??????????
Yeah if the OP tries the Vault 2, the ripping and labeling will be done by the Bluesound so no worries there at all. And BTW the Vault 2 does allow streaming just like the Node 2 does, of either your local network hard drive or such streaming serv...
Bluesound Vault 2i, Cocktail Audio X40 or ??????????
If you go the route of the Node 2 and use whatever software you could potentially use with a cd ripper and hard drive make sure the file folders are set up for Bluessound to read, otherwise a lot of extra work is needed for each album file folder....

+1 on Rega Apollo. I own one and really think the sound is neutral, extended range and the tonality of instruments seems accurate. I have the original and it has a buffer that reads and checks the CD before you hear it.
