What is the preferred cartrige mm or mc and why
I have 2 Shure V15 RS with a variety of Styli including a SAS. I also have an AT 14Sa. I have 3 MCs, a Denon DL-301 II, a very low mileage Dynavector 10x3, and a new Hana SL. Nothing very extravagant. The Shure is as close to perfect on a Linn LXV...
Have you ever hated the sound of your system one day, and loved it the next?
If you have trouble or pain in your ears on airplane flights, as I do, it may be you. (Us?)Sometimes my tiny Eustachian tubes close up and my auditory system is transformed from bass reflex to acoustic reflex. Things sound indistinct. Sometimes I ...
Your Favorite Cover Songs?
I got Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoff's Under the Covers Vol. 2 a few days ago. Pretty good. My favorite is "Go All The Way" (Eric Carmen/Raspberries), but Rundgren's "Hello It's Me" and Petty's "Here Comes My Girl" are also very good.An even bet...

Experimenting with Speaker Room Placement
The distance from the "front" wall behind the speakers and the amount of toe-in are speaker dependent and one should start with the manufacturer's recommendations if any. Canton recommends 12 to 20 inches and no toe-in for my speakers. as well as ...
70's Receiver and/or Integrated Amp recommendations
I'm not sure why you're restricting yourself to the '70; but if you could extend to the '80s the Nakamichi TA and SR series Nelson Pass designs are unbeatable and have gorgeous phono sections.
Now, I'm confused.
I have plugged this before; but in case you missed it there is a CD that helped me do wonders with speaker positioning. I am in no way affiliated or involved, except as a surprised and happy user. It's the IsoTek Ultimate system Set-up disc.
Brand new to vinyl: Help!
@spoutmozert, have you though about getting together or joining the AK meet?
Brand new to vinyl: Help!
Enjoy that new table! For at least 2 months before you think about changing anything. As you said, it sounds great. Until you know exactly what you wish was different, you won't know which path to take. You may like the Bronze better than the Conc...
