? on Pioneer CD players from the past, anyone still using one of these

PIONEER ELITE DV-79AVI and the PD-65 were good players for me when I had them.  Anyone still using them?  If so, how have they aged sonically?  I am sorry that I am asking about some old items, but in putting together a 2nd system I am re-thinking some items I have had in the past.  Like the Magnum Dynalab 208 receiver.  Thanks for your tolerance....and laughter.

whatjd

Maybe 4 years ago my PD 65 died after many years of use as a transport. Optical pickup no longer made. My current spinner is a Audiolab 6000CDT transport. I already have my eye on a Shanling (top loader) which is current tech ~ $800 HTH

@shtinkydog

Been too long ago and many system changes. The 65 only offered optical,. IME coax is much better

@tweak1 the pd-65 also had coax.  look up a photo.  i had one hooked up to an adcom dac way back when via coax.   i thought maybe you had the pd-65 recently.  i now have the 6000cdt, too.  curious as to which sounded better.  thanks anyways.
