Extra sets of Cables to switch up system?

Hello Audio Fanatics!

Over the last three years, I’ve put together two systems in my house.  Both give me great pleasure, with each system having its distinct sonic signature.

I was wondering how many of you keep extra sets of cables -

mostly speaker or interconnects I would guess - to swap in occasionally for the sake of variety? I currently use Cardas and LessLoss speaker cables, which I’m delighted with. I do sometimes wonder if I might enjoy swapping in something with a different sonic signature for fun.

Btw - I’d only buy used if/when something came up at a great price. Brands I’m curious about include Purist, Snake River and Black Cat.

Anyone keep spare cables to swap in and out everyone six months or so?

I keep a couple of different sets of cables. I'm happy with what's in there, but every once in a while, or if I get a new piece of gear, I'll swap things around. Usually I end up exactly where I am currently am, but it's nice to hear the differences.

I don't, but seems like it could be fun if money is not an issue...otherwise I prefer to spend all on one great set of cables...I had Cardas a few years ago, and realized I had stopped listening to my system, so cables sure can make a difference...

Over the years I have a number of high quality older interconnects, that were not optimal for a newly upgraded system. These are very valuable when I upgrade my system to see how sensitive the new component / system is to different types of interconnects and which flavor is most appropriate. So I have Stright wire, Cardas, WireWorld, Transparent. I run almost all Transparent now. After my last upgrade I had a pair of old transparent interconnects and speaker cables… they were a perfect match… so, I immediately ordered contemporary Transparent to replace them.
