Transport Recommendations

Hi All: I am looking for recommendations for a CD transport under 2K. I prefer new. and am considering ProJect, Audiolab, Schitt, and Primare - your thoughts? Any brands I may be missing? Thanks!

If anyone seriously wants to buy an excellent, used Jay’s CDT2 MK3 I know where you can probably get a nice deal.  It used to be my CDT2 MK3 but I sold it last Oct/Nov and purchased a new CDT3 MK3.
It started as CDT2 MK2.  After a year I purchased the Jay’s CDT2 MK3 upgrade kit and had it professionally installed.  During my entire ownership the unit played flawlessly and made me become a total Jay’s believer.
In addition to the original equipment, including a remote, I purchased a new Phillips CDM4/19 unit as a back-up and also installed an SR Orange fuse.
Unfortunately, the buyer passed away shortly after delivery and his relatives aren’t audiophiles.  His son in law contacted me, but I can’t use it and I’m ready to go into the hospital for some surgery myself.
I haven’t inquired about pricing.  With surgery coming up I.don’t what to get in the middle, but I’ll be happy to help get people together..

PM me if interested

@tweak1, sorry for not getting back to you. The AudioLab 6000CDT transport is just built right that punches way above it's price point. I actually prefer the non-tray transport CD feeder than a tray transport feeder that seems to get degraded and lose it's mechanical stability after time of use and exposes the cd lens to dust.

And I never had any of my cd's scratched. There are plenty reviews of the AudioLab 6000CDT that I suggest you read as most are actually positive and review it's functionalities.

I just spotted a used one here, check out the description:

@tyray Ive owned a CDT 6000 for 2+ years. Great value. Never an issue, unless the remote batteries were too low. I highly recommend it, especially when they often show up used for ~ $350. That said, the Shanling appears to be even better, but at 3Xs the price

The Shanling ET3 looks to be great value, but Im more inclined toward the SCD1.3, a player/transport that plays SACDs too $1279
