Transport Recommendations

Hi All: I am looking for recommendations for a CD transport under 2K. I prefer new. and am considering ProJect, Audiolab, Schitt, and Primare - your thoughts? Any brands I may be missing? Thanks!

I also have the AudioLab 6000CDT and when they came out with the AudioLab 9000CDT with the tray, I was disappointed it did not have the I2S connection or I would have upgraded to that transport.

@burtlake, I just ordered the Shanling ET3 straight from the source for a whopping total of $724.00. It’ll be awhile until I get it and run it through it’s paces. Time to sell my AudioLab 6000CDT...

@tweak1, sorry for not getting back to you. The AudioLab 6000CDT transport is just built right that punches way above it's price point. I actually prefer the non-tray transport CD feeder than a tray transport feeder that seems to get degraded and lose it's mechanical stability after time of use and exposes the cd lens to dust.

And I never had any of my cd's scratched. There are plenty reviews of the AudioLab 6000CDT that I suggest you read as most are actually positive and review it's functionalities.

I just spotted a used one here, check out the description:

@tweak1, yeah I got the Shanling ET3 to pair with the my new:

Eversolo DMP- A8 Music Streamer, DAP, DAC, Preamp, 4GDDR4 + 64GeMMC AK4191EQ + AK4499EX, ARC Input, IIS Output, UV Meters, Spectrums, Parametric EQ,Pre AMP + 10dB Analog gain, DSD512 PCM768kHz/32bit.

I like the idea of having 'HiFi' with 'MidFi' prices, good bang for the buck or very good price/performance ratio.
