No sneering Please

Please no flaming.

Audio snobbery aside, has anyone ever done an objective  comparative test of the latest chifi TPA3255 chip powered amps vs the 'high-priced spread'?

I am prepared to be shocked.

No sneering, please.

Very interesting review.  Not sure why @bigkidz discounts the use of reviews that come from credible sources.  I for one don't have the opportunity to run out and buy, or demo everything that comes along so the reviewer plays an important role in the chain of information.  The most disturbing thing I find in this review is the concept that a $1500 amp could possibly replace my $15,000 amps (times 2 for mono blocks).  I suspect there are many like me who don't want to believe the day is coming when our very expensive amps will be boat anchors.  My son-in-law is of the generation that can't believe the money I have tied up in traditional SS amp.  He's Class D all the way.  I'll keep my head in the sand as long as possible.  😆

I believe only many reviews not one or two, but many , reading between line ...

Agreed @mahgister  I discount one-off reviews but when you have several excellent reviews and actual owners on forums giving thumb up on a of component then I take notice.  I bought my Warp 1 amp because I needed an amp while waiting for my Decware tube amp to be built (2 year wait).  I prefer the sound of tube amps but thought I would try a highly recommended ( by reviews, forums, maker) Class D amp. Didn’t hurt I got a nice discount on it so really a  no risk purchase.  I have it hooked up to a Supratek tube preamp with 91db speakers and it amazes.  It will be nice to compare and rotate it with my Decware amp arrival. I don’t play in the $10,000+ market but do enjoy this TPA 3255 chip amp.

The only kind of review that I trust says something like, "... made the singers on my records sound more like people I have heard live."

Not many say that.

They cannot all describe my optimized AKG K340 if they did not own it ...😊

Happy Christmas to you and your family ...
