Upgradeitis

I have a case of upgradeitis. Currently have Kef reference 3 and coda continuum 8 with T+A dac 8 dsd. Pretty happy with the sound. Getting the upgrade itch. Room is 15 x 18. Previously had Vivid Audio oval. Considering the Kaya 45. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

Go to an audio show to see and hear before you buy.  Personally, I find very few that I would want after being a Magnepanar owner for 20+ years.

I have Kef Ref 5's

Dcs Bartok

PS Audio BHK 300 monos.

Rel S812 subs x 2

I know how good your Kefs are and to upgrade them is going to take some serious dough. Why don't you consider a couple of subs, that's what I did and I couldn't be happier. It is a huge upgrade imo at a fraction of the cost. The overall impact on sound is quite surprising and very rewarding.

I went from KEF Reference 1 speakers to Yamaha NS-5000 and really enjoyed the upgrade.  Qualio's IQ is really nice if you want to try open baffle.

I'm curious:  what did you think of the Vivid Audio oval?  It's strengths and weaknesses?

That was the first, earlier model Vivid speaker I encountered and they've clearly moved on in their cabinet designs.

I liked the ovals. The mids and highs were excellent. They did not quite fill the room as much as I wanted, even with a JL subwoofer.
