Miracle by Joseph long on Dynavector XX2MKII cartridge

A couple of days ago, I got my Dynavector XX2MKII back from Joseph Long after he put a new cantilever and stylus on it. It has blown me away, it sounds better than it has ever sounded, and has blown away my Kometsu Vermilion cartridge. I'm thinking it may be the best sounding cartridge I've ever heard, but don't get m

e wrong, I haven't heard that many great cartridges, but to my mind, this is one of them.

Joseph long's work is heartily recommended after my experience in this matter.

Regards,

Dan

You might let us know what cantilever and stylus shape you chose and is it the same as the OEM version? Kometsu [sic] makes good quality earth moving equipment, but I have never heard one of their cartridges. (Pun intended.)

Lewm, I'm glad I gave you something humorous to give you a chuckle. I have to stop and laugh at myself now and again these days being this age, and having had a stroke, I'm glad I can still remember my own name. Most of my life, I was very good at spelling and remembering words and how to use them. I feel lucky I was able to get the Dynavector mounted and aligned, and I'm grateful that it sounds so very good, I don't know what kind of earth-moving equipment Kometsu makes (they probably don't either).

I'm pretty sure it will be the last cartridge I will ever set up. I heard back from Joseph, he reminded me of the high purity halogen-free silver-plated copper wire coils he used during the rebuild. Yes Koetsu is what I meant to say, getting old has it's drawbacks, you know?

Dan

Dan - enjoy it ! revel in it, lavish praise..celebrate the music and the black disc…. i always enjoy your posts… spelling is optional… but i am just a cave man amidst the brilliant

Of course I knew you’d made an innocent typo error. I think there is a Korean or Japanese company whose name at least begins with “Kom…”, who make earth moving equipment. Anyway, what cantilever and stylus has you so ecstatic?
